Time's up, kid. I like you, I do, but you're gonna have to fork up. I chased you all the way to London, and now I'm displeased. Where's my money, Lesline?" Damn, it was hard to think of a way out of a situation when all the blood in your body was rushing to your head. Not that it was a common occurance, of course; Flynn was known for his ability to keep a cool head under pressure. This was an anomaly created, by his guess, by the fact that he was dangling upside down over the edge of one of the taller buildings in London. He made a mental note to ream Johnathan back home about borrowing research and production money from the Boston underground. "Look, Tony, I told you I don't have your money, man! I didn't even know it was yours. I wouldn't have touched a dime of your dirty money, and you know it. Can't get grime in the servos or they'll grind, ya know?" As amusing as Flynn thought he was, Tony did not seem entertained. "Well, Flynn, you won't have to worry about much more dirt now, 'cept the six feet that's gonna bog you down. Any last words, clown?" Flynn had been sending frantic signals to the Orbs for recall, but it seemed that they were having difficulty escaping from the trunk of the taxi Tony and his goon ripped him out of. After a long, climactic pause, Flynn shrugged, nodding. "Yeah, actually. Okay, Google," he said, pausing for the little tone to resonate from his visor. "Direct me to the Sentinel Headquarters from my current location." With that, Agent Decker sprung into action. The goon holding his leg was probably twice his size, but Flynn had a Physics degree and a yellow belt from the Boston Commonwealth Dojo of Self Defense. Swinging his body slightly to the side, he coiled up his free legs, then snapped it out across the brute's face, causing him to stumble backwards and release him. Luckily, the swing gave him just enough momentum for him to land with one foot scraping the ledge of the roof so he could kick off, landing on an adjacent rooftop just below the one they were just on. Then, he took off. Decker wasn't quite used to running without the stamina enhancements of his nano-armor, so his breath quickly picked up to a heaving pace. He didn't dare slow down, though, because he could hear the pounding footsteps of his pursuers just barely over the pounding in his ears, and they were gaining on him in the rooftop-to-rooftop chase. He had to admit, this was everything he expected and more when he signed up for the Sentinels. He felt like a spy straight out of a James Bond movie. Lost in his own delusions, he didn't realize his encroaching problem before the sweet, comforting voice of Google declared, "You have reached your destination,". Looking forward, he realized he was running out of rooftop. The building that housed the Sentinel HQ was just in front of him, and much, much taller than the roof he was running along. Luckily, just then, he heard the pings of several Orbs popping back up on the radar. One seemed to be lagging behind, slowed by a chunk of taxi taillight, but he didn't need all 12. Looking up at one of the very few open windows on the building before him, he realized he only needed six. Whereas Tony and his goon were rapidly slowing, Flynn only poured the last of his strength into his sprint, propelling himself even faster than before. The Orbs reached his position just as he leapt off the very edge of the roof. Time seemed to slow for him as he gave the mental input... Configuration: Transmit. Looking down at the concrete so far below him, all the way up to the building, he knew he had to get this exactly right. Three Orbs pulled up to for the exit portal, the other three plummeting just barely faster than he was. His odds weren't looking fantastic. Thankfully, the input succeeded, the entrance portal forming flush with the concrete just before he was about to go splat, he phased right through. With that ever-strange sensation of gravity shifting instantly on your body, he was flying through the air, the momentum of his fall sending him soaring up, up, right through the open window he was aiming for. Just before he curled up, bracing for impact, hr heard a light tone from the inside. Curious.. was that an elevator? Hitting the ground with a grunt, the remaining momentum sent Flynn tumbling over and over himself, finally stopping when he slammed into the doorway that had just opened up, revealing the robot Creatrix and his entourage of characters. Wonderful. Looking up with a long groan, he waited for his vision to clear before smiling groggily. "Well... hello then. Am I late?" And, of course, just then, the clock struck 12. It was high noon.
