About three reasons. I've gotten dangerously close to the 24 hour mark before and I like to prevent that, sometimes I think people may be in another place and don't know where to jump in or something; in that case, really just anything to prevent waiting on people. The third is that I like seeing a freshly updated IC. Maybe it somehow attracts people like it did you just now.
