Static smirked as he spun above the streets of Tokyo, his hands already glistening with electrical energy as it seemed Nightwing had already made his obligatory “Static Shock” joke of the day. Static liked a good joke, but every time he teamed up with Nightwing it always seemed to be going right into clown town— which given some of the alternatives with a complete lack of humor in the first place was kind of refreshing. Static grew up as a nerd trapped in the hood with a penchant for humor to release tension but Nightwing took it to a whole new level.  

Static’s brows narrowed as he looked upon the crowd below as he flew around above them on a metallic cylinder he had charged with electromagnetic energy to be his “flying disc” as he had done since he started doing the whole superhero thing. With a smirk he threw out his right arm and shot a small ball of energy at a small clearing in the crowd on the street— upon contact the ball dissipating into a field of non-lethal electrical energy.

Static turned his head as he heard Nightwing shout.
