Couldn't think of a way to get in close and stab you with a syringe [@themerlinhawk] so I shot you in the arm. Just a fleshwound. 
It's a strong numbing and Garetts heart would be beating rather fast. Odds are it would only take a few moments to have your upper body numb to any pain.
