Ana was regarded as the world's best sniper and, combined with her instincts, marksmanship, and quick-second decision making made her a viable candidate for Overwatch's strike team at the height of the Omnic Crisis. After the Crisis, Ana served as John Morrison's second-in-command and, despite her duties in leading Overwatch, Ana remained an active combatant well into her fifties. Ana's prowess and heroism served as an inspiration to her young daughter, Fareeha Amari, who hoped to follow in Ana's footsteps. During a rescue mission, Ana was gravely wounded by Talon operative code-named Widowmaker. The once world renowned sniper was believed to have died in the encounter. In truth, Ana survived though at the cost of her right eye. As she recovered, Ana reflected on the life she had been leading, on the combat, on the many lives she had taken, and decided to stay on the sidelines in the ensuing conflicts. Ana Amari had felt the weight of the lives she had taken. Retirement, it seems, did not agree with Ana who has decided to again take up the rifle and re-join the action. She could not simply sit on the sidelines as threats to innocents continued. Ana has returned to duty to protect her people, the innocent lives, and those most precious to her. [color=cyan]Combat Role:[/color] Support [color=cyan]Sub-class:[/color] Sniper/Healer/Buffer [color=cyan]Abilities: Sleep Dart:[/color] With a quick shot from her side firearm, Ana can knock a target into a sudden slumber for a good six seconds, enough time to flee the area and resume operations. Disturbances, such as being shot or harmed, wakes the sleeping target up prematurely. [color=cyan]Biotic Grenade:[/color] Ana tosses a grenade that both harms enemies and increases the healing on allies. In a pinch, Ana can toss the grenade at her feet to heal herself. Affects a 4 meter area and enemies caught inside of it, in addition to being harmed, cannot be healed for the duration. [color=cyan]Biotic Rifle:[/color] A rifle that fires 1.1 rounds per second. Six shots. The rifle shoots darts that, when shot at an ally, heals them instantly and, when shot at an enemy, does damage over time. The rifle comes equipped with a scope for more accurate shots and the damage over time does not stack if fired before the initial DoT wears off. [color=cyan]Passive:[/color] N/A [color=cyan]Nano Boost (Ultimate):[/color] Ana injects one ally with a combat boost, making them move faster, attack harder, and receive less damage from enemy fire. Lasts eight seconds. [color=cyan]Strengths:[/color] Supporting from a distance makes Ana a bit more versatile than others who might require a bit more proximity to the heat of battle. With her long distance rifle, Ana can keep allies in the thick of the fight with a simple pull of the trigger (and the proper accuracy, of course) while also debilitating enemies and making her team more effective at taking them down. In a pinch she can stay alive by putting flankers to sleep and running away to get to a new vantage point. [color=cyan]Weaknesses:[/color] Ana lacks the damage of more combat oriented team mates and runs the risk of being outsniped. In a direct sniper duel, Ana is at a disadvantage as her darts are not nearly as effective as actual bullets. More swift opponents can close the gap and render her carefully aimed shots ineffective. Incidentally her own team can cause problems if they decide to poke the sleeping giant - that of course being someone Ana has knocked out. Ana cannot regenerate her own health nor does she have shields or armor, making her lacking in self sufficiency when up close. But a sniper shouldn't be up close anyway...
