Her fourth year and the bastard finally won a race against her. She wouldn't tell him about the phone call she received the previous night from her mother, who was drunk and gave her an ear full, as always, or the sudden encounter with Fox this same morning, his first confrontation of the summer, aiming to make her regret rejecting him. Even if she did allow these things to be on the front of her mind, they were all excuses. Ash was not one for excuses. Today Jackson was the winner and she wasn't. Somehow, he helped her forget all her worries with his childlike excitement and battle cry. And... he won fair and square, which meant he could finally take her out on a date. A date with Jackson, huh. She could never understand why he wanted her so bad. Why was chasing her so worth it when she'd be gone at the end of summer? Jackson was a damn fool. That being said... at least he was a fool that tried his hardest and never gave up. A fool who had his feelings on his sleeves and who chased after what he wanted until he won. Stubborn, yes. But she appreciated that. She appreciated him. Jackson was becoming someone she didn't mind seeing his face everyday. A lovable goofball. Was she happy she lost? Absolutely not. Ash was competitive by nature, yet she wasn't one to turn down a promise either. Sweat glistened on her skin, she could feel her heart pulse through her neck, and though her body ached, she was happy. Her face may have been stoic but her brown eyes stored an indistinct elation in them. The mutual friends wore sweats given by their camp leaders so that they could 'represent' their team. Red suited him, that was for sure. His personality was blaring and his grin matched it. He had passion beyond anyone she ever met and a raging temper that not many people could handle. While grey suited her, something more subtle because she chose not to stand out. Not because she didn't think she could grab people's attention but because she just didn't see the point. She was still an exception for her team because she was far more athletic than any Grey member was known to be. The main reason why she was put on the team was because of how distant her expressions were, how her intimidating glare made individuals quiver, and how tall she kept herself, as if nothing could break her. To this day, she still does not show an inkling of emotion unless you truly know her and her subtleties. In this moment, all she could do was catch her breath. She lifted her white tank slightly to air out her sweat covered stomach, not caring about the display of her toned body. She couldn't pay much attention to him because she was still trying to gather herself from the race. The only man that could catch up with her and that's because he was driven to make her, his. Jackson wasn't like the others, who tried to pull her toward them and make her into the woman of their dreams. Nevertheless, he was still a man. Men were dangerous and she wasn't going to believe Jackson was any different. Despite that, god, he got faster. Fuck me. His laugh filled the early morning air as she exhaustively brought her attention to him. She could hardly get her question out while she practically hugged the tree for stability. That cheesy ass grin fell on his face and a chuckle slipped out of those lips she touched not even 24 hours ago, "I finally beat you." What a cocky little shit. Dropping to the ground and leaning her back on the bark, she stared at him, her dark orbs lingering on his face for a long moment that seemed to last forever and a faint smile appeared on her face.
Reality. The reality of the situation was that she had possibly fucked a friend of her past. Why did she decide to drink again!? Jackson's voice was simply background noise. She needed to get out of here. Lucas would surely kill her if he found out. What was she even going to tell her fiance? Was this the end of her happy ending?! But of course, just when things couldn't get any worst - they did. Losing her footing, she closed her eyes, mentally cursing herself for letting her emotions get the best of her, as she fell. Ash truly appreciated her house after this experience. In Jackson's arms, she opened her eyes and saw him staring down at her. Only with him she would find herself in this predicament. She hadn't realized she dropped the dress on her way into his arms, but she did, and it caused him to fall back. Was his arms always this big? Everything was happening quite fast, she didn't know what to think or where to look, so she simply let the dominoes continue to fall. Tonight was a night of regrets. After the chaos of both of them being klutz, they were secured and on the couch. Taking a moment to breathe, she looked down at him. Her angle gave her a better look of his face that felt like a mirage to her. Before he gestured down south, Ash absentmindedly brushed his strawberry blonde hair out of his face. He always did have the damnedest eyes, like the vast sea. Without a doubt, he could get any lady lost in his gaze. Finally registering her position, she took in the rather awkward situation they were in. She was in lingerie, over him, and her leg was... well... more things for her to be ashamed of after she returns home. As much as she should get out of this position, Ash wanted answers. Bringing his chin up with her pointer finger, she drew closer to him (Ash truly underestimated how sexy she could be during times like these). Her knee did move slightly backwards to give his army space, but it was still a threatening distance away. A sudden movement or wrong action would put him at great risk. Her position also gave him a nice display of cleavage, but at this point, Aisling could careless of her nearly nude body being exposed to this idiot. She locked eyes with him, refusing to let his gorgeous orbs go without some affirmation. "A couple of questions before I free you from your chains, Jackson." Her tone was unnerving yet everything about her would be extremely hot to most men. There were daggers in her delicious-looking orbs, her plump lips were still stained red, all the while looking smooth like vanilla fudge, and her hair draped down almost tickling his flustered cheeks. There were so many things she would regret tonight, so she wasn't afraid to use her body to keep Jackson from avoiding her. Her red velvet voice escaped into the air like a loaded gun releasing bullets to his heart, "Why am I here?" The question lingered in the air for an instant. Her powerful gaze trailed down his face, still not believing this situation was real - but it sure as hell was, "Why are you here? And by here, I mean in LA." Her voice lightly hissed. It was obvious she was fighting between anger and confusion. She pulled back, but still very much over him, as her expression became bewildered, "Jackson. I shouldn't be here. We-- we didn't? Did we?" She gestured at her body and his nether parts, hinting at 'sex' without saying it. Her stare trailed down to her hand where her ring was and her luscious lips curved downward. This situation was a lot dire than she could ever imagine herself getting into. Unintentionally, her knee moved slightly closer to his but he was still safe. He would have to move her soon, though, before she forgot that she had him in a torturous hold, "I'm so stupid..." Staring at her old flame, Aisling could only feel fear. Jackson's face flashed between Lucas' and the sickening guilt kept building within her. She should probably just forget receiving answers and go home, but she couldn't move, she-- she needed to know. Meeting his eyes once more, she looked at him desperately. Don't cry. "Why now, Jackson?" Ash muttered. Her body faintly trembled at the coursing thoughts in her mind.
