What are your thoughts on people making new galactic organizations? I have one that's been running through my head for a while now, called the United Xeno-Meritocracy. It would come with its own race, the Meritocraticons, and I had the idea that the Federation was having issues executing my character due to the Meritocrats meddling, trying to take him back from the Federal space he wandered into during his rampage across the galaxy.
