S K I L L S Inside Man: If there's a crime to commit, odds are Jesse's committed it. Need illegal hookups of any kind, he's your man, especially with his previous gang relations.
[sub]"Have I done some things I'm ashamed of? Oh absolutely. Would I do them again in a heartbeat? Oh absolutely."[/sub]
Sleight of Hand: Jesse has had to smuggle some heavy heat into very high security areas many times before. It's best to assume that at any moment, he's got a firearm stashed within arms reach. On the same note, his sleight of hand skills are something of legend, which assists him heavily in his gambling.
[sub]"You do not want to know where this gun has been for the last hour."[/sub]
Trigger Finger: Gunplay is Jesse's forte. If he fires six shots from his revolver, you can bet on your life that six people are going to be dropping.
[sub]"Six. It was definitely six shots."[/sub]
Bet Against Me: Jesse is a master at reading situations to stack odds in his favor. His gut seems to feed him a constant stream of winning information, and he trusts it to a fault. This, along with grand observation skills, allow him to constantly make and win his classic bets.
[sub]"You want to lose everything you own? Bet against me."[/sub]
F L A W S Not Exactly Scarface: Though Jesse plays at the 'criminal mastermind' image, he is anything but. No tactical genius, no charismatic leader skills- hell, he isn't even rich enough to pull it off.
[sub]"I AM a criminal mastermind. Who said I wasn't? I'll find them and... I'll insult their mother!"[/sub]
No Killing: While Jesse has done some terrible things, it was always with justification. He has and follows a very strict code of honor unique to his own needs. While to outsiders it may seem hypocritical, it is only logical in his mind. This code of conduct tends to hold him back when preforming criminal activity, because in the end he is good at heart.
[sub]"I've never shot a man who hasn't wronged me first. Yes, cutting in front of me at the grocery store counts as 'wronging me'."[/sub]
Time to Think: Frequently, Jesse tends to overthink everything around him. Especially with his enhanced eye, he simply takes in too much data, and misses the obvious things while he's busy trying to keep track of everything.
[sub]"What do you want from me? My brain only moves so fast, I'm not a goddamn cyborg."[/sub]
High Stakes: Jesse is, at his very core, a gambling man. Perhaps his most defining feature, Jesse lives to gamble and gambles to live. He tends to ignore risks, preferring to allow his luck to handle the consequences of his actions. This leads to many faulty decisions, including him taking any and all bets posed towards him.
[sub]"I'd say it was a calculated risk, but I'm going to be honest with you. I failed calculus."[/sub]
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Doctor Herrman: Hello, Jesse. May I call you that? Prisoner 9666: All due respect, doc, but I'm cuffed up over here. Hardly in any position to be making demands of you. I'm just going to say a word -you say the first thing that comes to your mind. Dog. 9666: Train. D.H.: House. 9666: Shelter. D.H.: Night. 9666: Dream. D.H.: Mercenary. 9666: Payment. [Gunshots can be heard periodically over the rest of the recording] [sub]
Doctor's Note: The subject shows noble behavior, and is generally honorable.
[/sub] Final notes from Doctor Herrman: As noted above, Prisoner 9666 faces adversity with a devil-may-care attitude, and a lack of seriousness in his day to day life. Illusions of grandeur and love for luxury are clear in his behavior, despite displaying much noble behavior. Though his ruthlessness should not be underestimated, it is still of note that Prisoner 9666 cares very much about innocent life almost as much as he cares for personal glory. As noted in classified transcripts, Prisoner 9666 has a very strict code of conduct to which he clings tightly. [An attached note reads: At risk of your own life, do not mention the subjects ex-wife.]
B I O G R A P H Y For the first fifteen years of Jesse's life, it was rather uneventful. Son of an accountant and a housewife, Jesse was what one could expect from the son of an accountant. Bored. In his boredom, Jesse found his way into trouble the best he could, doing some very bad things that a fourteen year old shouldn't even be thinking of, let alone doing. Illegal? No, not technically. But certainly not promising for his outlook as a citizen. A particularly intense outburst from Jesse prompted action from his parents on his fifteenth birthday, who believed a vacation out to another planet might do the kid some good. The day the family set out on a charter ship to a new planet, was the day everything went wrong. A slaver ship took control of the ship, killing most of the passengers, and enslaving more. When the slavers came to kill a Mr. and Mrs. McCoy, they hadn't expected their son to strangle one of their own with a watch chain, then shoot two more with the fallen slaver's gun. While a short lived vengeance, it was rather effective, at least in the opinion of the leader of the slavers. By some miracle, the leader (a Vaxir by the name of King Sanso) admired the fight in Jesse, and -rather than executing him on the spot, took him under his wing. Unsurprisingly, Jesse wasn't all too willing to go along with the bandits that killed his parents in front of him, but he was beaten into submission. He was trained by the slavers, and eventually gave in to Sanso's will. In addition to getting his hands dirty in the slave trade business for multiple years, Jesse also took care of monetary problems that the slavers faced, knowledge gained from his earlier years with his true father. Though he was a part of the slaver crew, Jesse still resented his new 'family', if you could call it that. Time and time again, he attempted mutiny, but was beaten down as a result. Still, Sanso kept him alive despite multiple murder attempts, for reasons unknown, possibly to either of the two. When Jesse finally got his attempt at justice for his family, he took it gladly. Federation soldiers stormed the slaver ship, taking down the operation once and for all, it seemed. In the chaos, Jesse stole Sanso's gun from out of his hands, and painted a red splatter of justice across the walls. Though Jesse assisted the Federation soldiers in taking the slavers down, he was still by definition, a criminal. While he was jailed for a sizeable sentence, good behavior and circumstance ended in his early release -under the condition that he joined up with the Federation soldiers. Jesse took the deal, and gladly. Though he should've felt satisfied in his victory over the slavers who took his parents from him, he felt the need to bring justice to the galaxy from the scum that was The Black Stars. During his time in the Federation, he met a woman, with whom he fell madly in love with. The feeling was mutual, and after a year they were married. She eventually enlisted, and due to some family connections, soon rose to be even Jesse's superior. This ended in the first blow to Jesse's trust -she soon grew tired of her husbands constant disregard for protocol in favor of glory, and not only took him out of her squad, but took him out of her life as well. His service with the Federation was not long lived. In a firefight against a small group of Black Stars, Jesse lost his eye, and was taken out of the front lines for a few months to recover. Over his time in recovery, he spent most of his time taking in news feeds, having nothing else to do from his hospital bed. He found some information pertaining to some of his superiors in the Federation that he very much did not want to know in this time, and soon lost his trust in the very people he was serving. When he was recovered enough to stand, he was shocked to hear he was being sent straight back onto the front lines. In that moment he realized that if justice was truly his calling, there were far better places to find it. Calling in a favor from an impartial source he knew from his days with The Black Stars, Jesse was able to flee from the Federation, and strike out on his own. Settling down on a smaller planet, he slowly begun stretching out an influence from the shadows, slowly manipulating money to fund his plans. Over the course of two years, he grew his funds into something sizeable enough to fund a small army, and that he did. Every hired gun, every mercenary, and every gang member that he could afford was soon under his payroll. Jesse's campaign followed everyone who he felt was doing wrong, from The Black Stars, to the Federation, to Homines Primum. Though he was largely successful in his antics for quite some time, eventually his hunt for glory got him caught and sent to the LMSIF.
