As much as he wanted to listen to Aya's advice and run away from this whole situation, he somehow couldn't bring himself to leave Aya and Ellie out there with two vampires. Suddenly, Rai found that he was being pushed aside by... Valerian? For some reason Valerian, the orphan who distanced himself from everyone was getting involved, however Valerian soon ended up getting swatted away by a vampire. Seeing this, Rai quickly joined Aya at Valerian's side, and mustered up as much courage as possible before saying "Leave Val alone, you creeps!"
