The two vampires laughed. "The queen doesn't care what happens down here. I think we need to teach you nosy upstarts a lesson. Mind your own business. ... yeah, and then we're going to catch that other human trash and waste him too. Can't let your kind start thinking rebellion is a good idea." They started walking casually toward Aya, as if killing her was just another form of entertainment, when a voice suddenly broke out of the darkness near them. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Devon stepped out, sword already drawn, with a black hood over his head. He was threatening the other two vampires. "Just leave. These humans are innocent. Their lives are just as important as yours." The vampires blinked in astonishment. "And who the hell are you, asshole? Are you seriously going to get in our way over these insolent blood bags?" At least they had turned their attention over to Devon and off of Aya, Valerian, and Rai. Devon stepped forward, glancing at the others. "Yes." The two vampires looked at each other, then back at Devon and laughed. "Okay then! At least We'll get a decent fight tonight." They drew a shortblade and two daggers and came at Devon. "Go back inside!" Devon shouted before he was doubly engaged.
