He was quickly losing interest in the crews potential. Why was Rayne so interested in them again? They were so…boring. Maybe because they weren't screaming and licked in yellow flames, maybe then they would be more entertaining. He found this generation to be slightly less peppy and more lazy than the last, or so he heard. They had no heart, the only one that seemed to have any real ambition was Bogard, and even then he didn't seem ready to fight to get to that position. "Look, I'm not training you because I have to, only became I have the obligation to." he emphasized the word 'obligation' in response to Bogard's last statement. "I personally don't want to train you, but Rayne is bent on paying back his dept and ensuring your survival. That's all thier is to it." he huffed as he lounged on his back. It was a simple statement that carried alot for meaning for Rayne. Staring death in the eyes was no easy task, and now that he had come so close, he was determined to avoid it. Frankly, Xerxes didn't care. If he was killed in the heat of battle, then so be it, it was a worthy way to go out. He murdered with a vengeance fueled rage he didn't understand, but only killed those who stood in his way. He 'killed' Marines and other pirates, but 'murdered' the weak. Xerxes seemed to have and unbridled love for the strong, those who could prove to be a dominater on the battlefield was worthy of his full attention and strength. There was nothing to it. "Whether it be loyalty or obligation, I'm here to make sure you survive to become King. Whatever ominous force that is backing you, can't carry you far if your still stuck in this state." he cooed as he played with a dense yellow flame that licked the tip of his finger. "We all have our goals. Mines is to kill that Vice Admiral. That fuels my rage and strengths me. Once you all find your fuel, especially you Dirk, you'll be taking your first step to becoming stronger. That simple." he breathed. Looking up at Dirk pointedly, he watched for any sign of change in the boy. Maybe thier was hope yet.
