Omega: A Witch, Some Aliens, and an Old Friend... in the War Pits!
The trio finally found themselves in the War Pits, a dwarf planet in a distant star system. On the surface of the planet, huge colosseums spanned across its desert plane. Each one lit up and boomed with the sound of battle. Necessary battle. The civilizations created the War Pits as a way to mitigate large scale war across the star systems. By pitting a small group of each participating party into the War Pits, conflicts that would normally be settled in war are reduced to a small scale match of entertainment. At the moment, the Xyron, the Etrisians, and the Asters were settling a dispute over territory. At least that is what the trio were told. A judge of each colosseum is appointed from a star system that can be unbiased and that have a special quality... a booming voice of confidence. The trio stood within the arena that had been designed to have what the Xyron called a "neutral atmosphere". The Xyron that had always kept the three informed held Sol in his hands as he started to translate what the judge was getting ready to announce. The judge floated into the center of the arena on a floating podium. He did not resemble any species present. He was black in color and seemed to have no eyes. He wore some kind of ceremonial gown, and that's as much as Omega could see. "Attention. Attention." The Xyron translated. "Allow me to welcome not two, but three parties to the War Pits. The Xyron..." Mechanical screeches could be heard as a sound of cheering for the Xyron people in the stands. "The Etrisians." The Etrisians roared in the stands at the acknowledgement of their people. "And the Asters." The trio raised eyebrows as the Asters did not dare to make a sound. These beings were different from the two. No armor or clothes, and they all seemed to be made from some sort of energy kept together to form humanoid bodies. Their eyes were large and glowed a bright blue, while their bodies were the pure white. "So it's gonna be a three way brawl, right?" Aaron interrupted as looked around. The Xyron translator looked to Aaron before speaking. "Yes, we all want a single territory. Now allow me to finish translating... this territory that we fight for is one with many jewels. We all wish to gain from this unclaimed system...." The Xyron paused for a moment while the judge spoke. He then oddly continued at another point in the judge's speech. "This will be an the normal fight to the death by each participating group's representatives. Representatives can be chosen from different worlds, but must be willing to fight. The cap on how many can represent is one hundred." "Um..." Omega let out as he looked at his three man team. The Xyron did not pause for Omega. "The Xyron have chosen three representatives. The Etrisians have chosen 98 representatives. The Asters have chosen 30 representatives." "What the fuck. Three against... uh... more than a hundred?" Omega said as he couldn't do the math in his head. The Xyron finally turned to Omega. "You are each worth many fighters. You will represent for us and you will win." The Xyron explained before the Enchantress walked forward and towards the judge. She then began to speak both with her mouth and her mind to the judge. "The three of the Solar System will not fight as representatives of the Xyron Collective!" She announced before turning to the Xyron translator who titled his head to the right at her. Omega and Aaron gave her a similar look before she smiled at them all. "That evil..." Omega said. "Bitch!" Aaron seemed to finish Omega's sentence. "What the hell are you doing?!" "I'm saving our planet! The Xyron decided not to give use the whole story. They're all fighting for our star system. The unclaimed territory." Enchantress explained. "I read the judge's thoughts when the bucket head stopped translating." Aaron and Omega looked to the Xyron translator who did not utter a word. For the two meta, this confirmed what the Enchantress had revealed. Aaron swiftly punched at the Xyron, but Omega stopped him with his telekinesis. Aaron looked at Omega in anger. Let the lady finish before we go making war with three different kinds of E.T." Omega nodded his head to Enchantress who turned back towards the judge. "We of planet earth choose to represen5 ourselves. How do you feel about not two, not three, but four parties in your War Pit!" Enchantress announced making the crowd chant with excitement. They all chanted. "Four" in their respective languages. Enchantress stared at the judged with a challenging look on her face. The judge nodded, making the crowd cheer in excitement. Omega and Aaron smiled as they walked towards the Enchantress. "Who would of thought that I'd be saving the world." "All three of us can say the same to that. We have Aaron with the offense, me playing defense, and you coordinating. We can squash how ever many they throw at us." Omega said confidently, but perhaps he was being too optimistic. "The Xyron choose 100 representatives!" The Xyron translator announced as 100 machines entered the arena. The trio looked at the army of machines in shock before they each sighed one at a time. The judge nodded and floated far above the arena to watch the battle. "Why are we still near the center?" Enchantress asked the two men as they squared up in separate directions. Enchantress just shook her head before putting a hand on Omega and Aaron's backs and linking their minds. Let's go! Their synced voices echoed through their minds.
