Name: Yusof Pavel Sokolov Age: 56 Gender: Male ???: N Skills: At the age of 20, Yusof signed on with the Tula Titan Arms Corporations testing pilots, after serving two years in the Russian Navy. Still only four years after the Siberian Discovery, HPV's at this time were still in a late developmental phase, and many testing pilots were lost during this crucial time. Yusof was one of the survivors, and moved on to becoming a career HPV Pilot with 35 years experience by the time he hit 56. The knowledge Yusof has of his suit goes beyond the regulations, numbers, and paper capacities. It has developed into something he does relatively naturally, each button in his cockpit is known by heart to an extent where he doesn't need to think about where it is to press it, in many ways the suit is an extension of himself. This is only due to pure experience however, as in his early days he was regarded as a mediocre pilot. It is his sheer familiarity with the suit which is his strongest advantage. Outside of the suit, the 56 year old Sokolov is the picture of human health, incredibly muscled and trained in basic military facets such as hand to hand combat and basic firearms use. He is also noted for being an impressive Tenor, something which he reminds everyone through frequent singing. Appearance: An imposing man, many are put off by their first look over Yusof Sokolov. He stands at an impressive 6'6'', is broad shouldered, and features a wide scar across the bridge of his nose. His face is rough looking and stone cut, characterized by a strong jaw and squared skin. Instantly recognizable are the man's impressive and well kept mutton chops which adorn the sides of his face, in stark contrast to his otherwise conservative shortly cut hair. The man is also the picture of health, looking about 12 years younger than he is, he is also noted for being relatively muscular and incredibly fit. His eyes are the only betraying feature of his otherwise stern appearance, never appearing truly angry, but more dull during unhappy times, and jolly in happier ones. Personality: Yusof is a larger than life figure, staunchly outgoing and out spoken, the sort of person you either like straight away, or are annoyed by forver due to his bombastic nature. He speaks loud, and is sure to make quick friends of everyone he meets despite his imposing appearance, taking up the position of the 'heart' of any group. Fiercely loyal to his well fought comrades, Yusof greatly respects strength but neither condemns cowardice or insecurity, in his mind everyone has the capacity for greatness, should they choose to peruse it, something which he frequently pushes his comrades to stride for. History: Born outside of St Petersburg Russia to an alcoholic father and abused mother, the childhood of young Yusof was an uncomfortable one. Life was a relatively frightening day to day endeavor for the boy. Schooling and education was non existent, Yusof only learning to read by the time he was already 12. At the age of 16, the world changed with the Siberian Discovery. Fear and panic was abundant, however things took a positive turn for a young Yusof when his father found work assisting in the excavation of alien devices in Siberia. With his father gone, Yusof began to improve his situation. At 19, he signed on with the Russian Navy using fake credentials, and served in the position of an ensign for two years before he volunteered to test pilot the TR-76 HPV for Tula Titan Arms Corporation. Testing went on as it does, and Yusof served with mediocrity as a test pilot, far from the worst fate as many test pilots during this time died in fatal accidents. Yusof was also noted with making one of the first space flights with an HPV during this time. As the testing and prototype phases ended, many of the TR-76 suits found themselves dismantled. Only 32 remained, Yusof's own suit being one of the lucky ones, Yusof oversaw the modifications which would make the suit it's own viable weapon in the modern world among the other newer suits. As each TR-76 pilot oversaw the modification of their suit, each was unique in it's own right. Yusof's was modified in the manner that it had it's own miniature nuclear reactor, a self sufficient power source which would last hundreds of years, allowing for extended operation times. As well, Yusof oversaw the installation of his own 'Override button' which had become popular among other TR-76 pilots, as well as his secondary weapons, the Rip Guns installed on his suit's hands. It was also his idea to construct individual motors for each arm, rather having each be powered by the primary motor. This complicated the system's internals somewhat, but also had the advantage of increasing the strength of the suit's arms multiple times over. With his suit modified, Yusof would go on to spend the majority of his service time in the Russian Federation's own HPV task force. By the time OSDT made it's own Taskforce, Yusof was already a distinguished pilot. When the international organization began requesting pilots from the multiple HPV equipped nations, the Russian Federation was reluctant, sending only a handful of pilots, and saving the rest for itself. From here, Yusof served in the OSDT task force to this day across the solar system, earning himself a reputation among his peers as the 'old man' of the unit. Model: TR-76 'Senta' Specialty: Mobile heavy defense History: The TR-76 (Tyazhelaya Rama 76), meaning simply 'Heavy Frame' 76 in Russian, is a single model line of HPV's produced by the Russian Tula Titan Arms Corporation. One of the earliest responses to the Siberian Discovery, and one of the Russian Federation's self produced HPV's, the TR-76 was first designed as a platform on which to test the viability of many HPV technologies which would move on to make other, entirely different variants produced by other countries and corporations viable, making the TR-76 somewhat of a spiritual ancestor to many modern HPV's. 54 models were produced, of which only 32 would go on to be built into self sufficient weapons themselves, and avoid the dismantling which removed the others. The remaining 32 would go on to be constructed from testing platforms into their own viable suits by Tula Titan Arms. The rugged and heavy construction of the model became it's trademark feature, earning the nickname 'Senta' or 'Wall' in Russian across HPV Pilots due to it's incredibly durable design. The interior of the entire suit is reinforced with space rated steel riveting and titanium interconnecting beams. As well, the model is designed for simplicity and easy repair, further increasing it's durability and infamous toughness. While the majority of the suits were withheld by the Russian government, many have trickled out and into other organizations, making the TR-76 somewhat of a rare sight. Appearance: At a glance, the TR-76 is visibly older than most HPV's. It resembles a person only in the sense that it walks on two legs has two arms and a 'head', but the rest gives off an industrial, military vibe. It's chest is broad, it's shoulders massive, it's head sunken into the hull with no neck, and it's legs wide. It is visibly unmanueverable, and looks like the sort of thing to walk through obstacles rather than around them. Standing at 34 meters tall, it is imposingly large, both an advantage and a disadvantage in that it makes taking cover very difficult. Features: The TR-76 is made for simplicity, and does not come with many bells or whistles. It's electronics suite is outdated limiting the sensor arrays which can be fit on it, even with upgrades. However, some TR-76's are equipped with a safety override, a last resort button which disables the suits safety inhibitors which limit movement speeds to the maximum the machinery can handle. Using the override removes this inhibitor, allowing the suit to operate far faster than it's intended. This in turn damages the suit's machinery including the primary engine and joint drive shafts, and if used long enough can result in a total meltdown of it's nuclear reactor. The miniature nuclear reactor itself is the suit's primary power source, allowing for an extended operation time as it does not need to recharge or refuel. Despite this, operation times are still limited due to other fluids in the suit requiring replacement, such as hydraulic fluid and oil, which are also essential to the suit's operation. Armaments: x1 MMP-140, 140mm twin barreled automatic assault cannon. The Multi Munitions Platform 140 is an American produced HPV weapon made for the OS line, firing large 140mm shells in an alternating pattern between it's two barrels. The trademark of the MMP-140 is it's extreme modularity in ammunition, capable of firing every kind of special munition imaginable, as well as it's decent stopping power for it's rate of fire. The cannon is strapped to the right forearm of the suit, and has a large handle which is gripped by the suit's hand. It can be quickly detached and dropped to allow the use of the hand, and is fed by belt connecting to the suit's interior magazine. x4 CAG's. The German produced 'Close Assault gun', affectionately named the 'Rip Gun' due to the impressive sound it makes, is a 35mm 8 barreled Gatling cannon with an impressive barrel melting rate of fire. The intention of the weapon is to be a backup when the primary is lost, made to whittle away enemy armor at close range. Two of these are hard mounted on the top of either hand. X1 Zhavda Missile Pod. Produced by TTA, the Zhavda Missile pod is a light missile pod equipped with 122mm guided missiles, 6 of them per pod. X8 200mm Manticore rockets. The Manticore rocket is a soft lock high explosive rocket intended for use at medium range against lightly armored targets, relying on it's impressive high explosive payload to blast away the enemy. The TR-76 mounts 8 of these, 4 under each shoulder pad. Weaknesses: Due to the suit's impressive weight and old design, it is incredibly slow and unmanueverable. The legs are separated a great distance by the pelvis which contains their drive shafts, and as such cannot fully close and have a very limited range of movement beyond a simple walking motion. As well due to the incredible weight, taking flight takes a considerable amount of time and fuel to do. An interior magazine is both an asset and a curse, as while it reduces the weight the suit needs to carry in disposable magazines, it also means that once out of ammunition, the suit needs to be reloaded by technicians in a proper maintenance bay, this includes all rockets and missiles on the suit. As well due to the internal magazine, the suit can only use a certain number of weapons which it can carry ammunition for. It also lacks any melee weapon besides it's fists, which while are considerable due to the independent motors running each arm, still cannot keep up with modern HPV melee weapons. Due to the suit's dated electronics suite, it's sensory arrays can only be upgraded to a certain point to be compatible to the system, which is lackluster when compared to most suits. The rough design features no ejection seat and only very basic life support. The lack of a turning head limits the pilots view range to exactly where the torso is facing. A nuclear reactor power source, while offering greatly extended operation times, can be damaged to the point of a meltdown, resulting in a small nuclear detonation.
