[@Prince of Seraphs] As I said, he wrote it without an answer in mind.  He came up with answers after.  Also that particular answer is supposed to be "it is nevar put with the wrong end in front".  Never is the correct word, yes, but it's a clever play on the sound.

As for the chant from the Hobbit, no, I really don't think that fits Max.  Unless you mean Bilbo himself, in which case yes, that's Max all over.  Mostly when dealing with the Grentebridge Seven, though.

Max: You want to...kidnap her?  But...
Max: I'm not going to let you torture someone just because we need information.  Find a civilized way to get it or not at all.
Max: I'm not going to just stand here while people are getting hurt!
