I like making good (alignment) characters. I try to do varying degrees of it based around the character's upbringing, history, training, etc, but most of my characters really try to do good, and are willing to risk themselves or sacrifice for it. I think it's especially fun when the "good" choice isn't totally obvious, or the choice is between two things that aren't entirely attractive. It creates internal turmoil and doubt, and that's a lot of fun to roleplay. There are other traits, but I thought that was the most interesting one. My characters are female, and quite often fighters of some kind. Brave, sometimes recklessly so. They screw up a lot, but almost never blame others for their failings, even when they probably could.
