[b][color=82ca9d]Personal Style:[/color][/b] Murphy's favorite type of clothing really can't be worn comfortably in the weather in India. When at home in Boston you will see him in blue jeans, long sleeve thermal shirts and a black woolen coat. He prefers to wear what is known to Americans as the "stereo typical Boston Irish" look. Cable knit sweaters his mother makes, usually several sizes too big; the thermals, the pea coat, and so forth. He rarely wears a hat though, even in colder weather. 

	Here in India though he still tries to wear at least something resembling it. Jeans, t-shirts, Doc Martins. If he has to dress up he will pick a black dress shirt; usually silk or linen due to the weather. While he has a rosary, it is usually in his pocket. Only when he is in a tense situation will he actually put it in; though he never wears it to bed, it's always hanging on a nail close by.

He is one of those folks when he asks if you want to go clubing it could mean dancing or actually taking a ball bat and going around knocking skulks. You never know. 

	He can be very stubborn and obstinate in his nature, which works against him a lot of the time; he has a tendency to speak before he thinks and it gets him into trouble. He's fine with that though, another reason to fight is always welcome with him. He's the type of guy to pick a fight, trade blows and then buy you a beer. Usually the life of the party he never really did grow up even though he had every reason to. If he calls you friend you have a friend for life, and a very protective one at that. He will do anything for those he cares about, anything...

[b][color=82ca9d]What Brings You To India:[/color][/b] Murphy was getting tired of the meet packing life, which for him was odd. His mother, god love the deranged woman, suggested that he go back to their homelands and reconnect with his roots. Yeah, Murphy was having none of that. He loved Ireland but if he was going to go do something he wanted to do it big and new. What better place than India? Though he had no formal education outside of High School, Murphy was smart and like most in his family could speak nearly half a dozen languages. Problem was he didn't speak any of the native languages in India. Two years of learning though and he picked it up quick. A couple of tests later, a work Visa as a translator and he was off. He ended up getting hired by the Best Exotic Hotel as their resident translator for the guests and he loves it. He gets to meet everyone there and have a maid clean for him. Perfect.

[b][color=82ca9d]History:[/color][/b] Murphy is one of a set of twins who  are the eldest and first borns of this generation in the McManus Clan. Born in Londonderry, Ireland before his parents immigrated to Boston when he was 18 months old. On the streets of Boston he grew up hard and quick, always looking out for his younger siblings. He barely graduated high school and started working with his father in meat packing district at a young age. He is super protective of all 8 of his siblings; especially Connor his twin brother and Claire , her being the only girl in the family.

Murphy married at 18 but his wife was a victim of a gang war that broke out in South Boston a year after they were wed. Wrong place, wrong time. A stray bullet killed her instantly. This took a lot out of Murphy and lead him down a rough path. A stent in jail for assault, nearly killing the gang leader that was responsible for his wives death. Connor managed to pull him off before he went to jail for murder. 

The last few years have been good though since he decided to get his act together. He worked in the meet packing district while he studied for his newest language and applied for his visa; sharing a run down flat with his brother Connor during this time and taking a few trips with his sister during his fight circuits.

Murphy thinks the world of Tas; she is a hard worker and actually a very kind person once you get through that cold hard outer shell. He thinks she works way to hard though and tries to break up the tension by joking around or flirting with her. If she takes a swing at him he would probably welcome it; he is Irish after all.[/center]

He loves talking with her though, hearing a familiar accent like hers is wonderful. (Though it does make him miss his little sister some - who is just about the same sage as Cera.) She seems a little timid to him but he hopes hanging out with him will get her to relax and just enjoy things a bit more.  [/center]

Murphy gets along better with Tempest than she seems to get along with the rest of the group. His more laid back nature and ability to take harsh comments in stride helped with this. Murphy is used to people being distant and complex, it comes from how his family is. He helps her translate those around her since she doesn't speak the language so well and doesn't seem to know the rest of the group as well as he does. He'll party with her or help her interview people, what ever she needs. He feels she just needs a friend and he is more than willing to fill that roll. He likes making her smile if he can.[/center]
