He can't always be around and has to leave on a moments notice. He can't talk about his job or what he does to someone he is in a relationship with, so this causes problems. Most can't handle this type of one way thing. 

He is driven though to get the job done and is ever calculating. He watches people and in HS made him a bit of an outsider. This coupled with the fact he can be very blunt when speaks to people can be off putting but in the end he is just someone trying to do the right thing. A Paladin born in an time when such is no longer wanted around.

[b][color=82ca9d]Thoughts On The Murder:[/color][/b] Marc was rather unimpressed with the murder. The situation itself was as shocking as it could be for him but in the end it didn't surprise him. If anyone was going to get killed it was that girl in his mind. Granted he figured it would end up a drug deal going bad instead of what the cops said was the motive for the murder. It never sat right with him but then he was only a student, not a GBI agent like he is today. 

[b][color=82ca9d]History During H.S.:[/color][/b] He was quiet and distant even back to then to those in his class. He never really got into sports and such even though he was a member of the HS's track and field team. He just didn't click with the jocks but he played friendly enough and attended the parties. He figured it was an obligation thing since he was part of the team. Being part of the team meant that you had to hand out with the team at lest sometimes. 

Classes went well for him and he was part of the honor students, graduating a year early. Everyone figured he would end up being the Valedictorian but in the end his GPA was just a point under Ada's and he came in as the Salutatorian. Many thought he may be disappointed but he knew Ada well, they studied together and he couldn't be happier for her. Plus it kept him from having to give a speech at graduation, so there was always an upside to a situation.

He floated around from group to group, not to be a part of any group but to sit on the fringes and watch. It was something he enjoyed when he was not running; which he did most of the time. He nearly didn't attend the prom but figured that he might as well, that was his class, they were graduating together; time for Team Player Marc to show up; stag. 

[b][color=82ca9d]History Since Graduation:[/color][/b] After graduation Marc packed up and joined the US Navy, figuring it was better to serve than to do nothing with his life. In the Navy he found a purpose and a drive he had never known before outside of running or his grades. That was helping others. He did well in the Navy, using it to fund a college career. 

Murder and crime happen everywhere, even in the armed forces. He completed his degree while in the service but opted out of another sign up stint and applied to work for the FBI. He was brought in, trained and did well for the years he was there. Helping with various assignments over the years and working his way up quickly through the company. 

Three years ago he applied and was offered Head of the GBI for the Atlanta Office. There he has taken on a more supervisory role. One which he hoped that would lead to him actually feeling comfortable enough to try a real relationship but that has been slow going if at all. He still hasn't learned to open up and he still can't talk about his work. 

Currently he is awaiting word from NCIS, the FBI and the Secret Service - he applied to all three to see if he can get a job there working in Washington or to get back into the actual game. He is tired of his supervisory role and wants to be back in the thick of things; figuring he is never going to open up in a way that means anything long term.

We keep in touch, a lot actually. Well she talks and I listen. I know her and Ash still speak so I don't bring up Ash around her, won't ask questions, it isn't my place. She will ask about Kai every once in a while out of the blue. I don't think she ever got over him, actually I think she is mad at him in a way for breaking things off the way he did. I don't say anything though, I just let her vent. Just wish she would smile more. Don't like seeing the look in her eyes when he comes up. [/center]

I visit her grave every year on her birthday the same was Ada visits Cyn each year. One day a year I open up and talk about work and everything else. I dunno, just feels right. I mean they say the only person that can really keep a secret is a dead person. Who better? I miss her. [/center]

We don't talk as much as we used to but who does? We keep in touch, she really has made something wonderful of her life but that isn't a surprise. She always had it in her, I knew that much. Heard she is dating someone now, I hope he opens up for her. She deserves someone to talk to. We still speak on occasion, hopefully we can catch up at the reunion. I at least owe her an apology for keeping so closed off. [/center]

We've kept in contact over the years, I think I surprised him when I asked why he hadn't contacted Ada when he moved to Chicago, he seemed surprised. Maybe he didn't know? I don't push the subject though, he'll talk when he is ready. He's still a good guy, glad to see he has his stuff together just hope he drops the dope one day. I actually turned down a job for the IBI in Chicago, didn't want to some how get mixed up with maybe having to bust my best friend. (Truth be told, I think Ada would still be good for him.)[/center]
