“That being said, we finally found my daughter and I want to see her.” Alteis Freloun said to a group of men standing in front of him. The group he had hired to be his body guards were some of the best in the business but the three time academy award winner and beloved actor wanting to turn director didn’t take chances on his life after a good amount of his friends were stalked and some were killed. “Here’s the folder with her information.” He said sliding the packet across the table and Serge, the head of the body guards took the folder and opened it as the other leaned over his shoulder. “She’s…” “NO WAY!” The youngest member of the team snatched the folder from Serge and stared down at the photo inside. “That’s Al!” His voice echoed through the room with excitement, his hands were shaking on the folder in surprise. “She’s your daughter?!” The folder was snatched from his hand and Serge smacked his hard in the back of the head with it. While the young man muttered ow, Serge laid into him. “Calm down Elias.” “That wasn’t needed Serge…” Elias said with a frown on his face and in his voice. “Coulda paper cut the back of my head…” “What a shame…” Serge muttered under his breath as he continued to read over the information, obviously not paying attention to anything that Elias had to say. As Elias raised his hand to smack Serge in return Alteis spoke up. “Elias, do you know her?” “Huh?” He stopped, realizing the man was speaking to him. His hazel green gaze moved back to the man behind the desk. “Oh yeah, she was my neighbor going up. There’s no replacing that derpy face of hers no matter how old she gets. I even convinced her to eat mud before because she thought it was pudding! It was really funny…” Before Serge could shut Elias up, Alteis gave a tender smile, “I missed so much of her childhood it’s saddening.” “Well I knew her until about thirteen then she moved away so I can fill you in if you’d like.” Elias responded with a bright grin before Serge smacked him again. “Hey… I’m just trying to help fill in some gaps.” “Since you seem to know her Elias, I’d like you to try to convince her to meet me.” “Sir with all do respect…” Serge spoke up gesturing to Elias, “He’s still fairly new to the group, I don’t know if he’s ready to do something by himself just yet.” Elias laughs whole heartedly and waved his hand. “First off, I’m not that new I’ve been working with you for a year. Secondly I am a black belt in Judo, need I remind you, and thirdly she was my best friend when I was younger. If anyone can convince her to meet her dad,” He puts his hands on his chest with a grin, “it’s me.” “And I agree.” Alteis said with a gesture to hand over the folder to Elias. “I can’t wait to meet her.” “You won’t regret this choice.” Elias said with excitement as he snatched the folder from Serge in excitement and started out. “You can count on me sir!” With that he left Alteis’ office and climbed into his sleek car. This time when he opened the folder he stared at her photo a little longer, she still had her derpy face; the derpy face he missed so much. Who would have thought that someone who had been on his mind for so long was finally coming back into his life? Even if it was just for work, for she would be his client, it was something. A few questions unanswered. Soon he pulled up into the driveway of her house and turned off the car. “Not bad.” He said to himself as he checked his crazy hair in the reflection of the mirror and played with his lip ring out of nervousness before letting out a long long sigh. Phew, okay I got this! He mentally pumped himself up before climbing out of the car and beeping it locked behind him. Sliding his keys into his pocket of his dark blue jeans and straightened his black dress shirt. At the door he ran the door bell and turned his back to the door looking around the neighborhood. This wasn’t a bad place, though his employer’s place put his small one bedroom apartment to shame. Besides he was hardly ever home and saving up for a house of his own. The door opened behind him and he couldn’t help but smile. While he was taller, older, in much better shape thanks to his training and his Judo, there was no losing boy like face, his cheesy charm, bright eyes and twinkling smile. “Geeze…” He said as he slowly turned around, his hands in his pockets. “And here I thought I’d get more of a warmer welcome then that Al.” By the time he was facing her he was grinning from ear to ear. “Long time no see.” Don’t tackle-hug her, don’t tackle hug her; if she doesn’t recognize you than you’re just going to look like a creepy idiot for touching her.
