Allegiance: Demons of Hell. The current ruler of the legions of Hell, Rufus is different from his contemporaries among the leaders in that his rule is constantly challenged by enterprising demons seeking power. Having taken power shortly after Eos and Deva, Rufus is a mystery in how utterly plain and uninteresting he presents himself. It is often proclaimed by boastful demonic supporters of his that Rufus' first words upon taking the throne were "Vini, Vidi, Vici" but in reality he asked for a recliner to be used in place of the uncomfortable throne. Though despite his unconventional rule and frequent attempts on his life, Rufus has had the longest rule of any King of Hell, to the point that the prior kings are all but forgotten. Those that question his name is 'Not Demonic' or 'Unintimidating' often find themselves experiencing a fate worse than death. The King of Hell is largely unpredictable and chaotic, taking delight in abandoning his entourage to appear on the battlefield or in the kitchens. The reasoning behind his actions changes by the minute, though if the whim takes him then Rufus may tell friend, foe, or complete stranger that he does it all because "it would make her laugh."

~Combatants~

Name: Suparna Wolgan Title: Queen of Carrion. Infested Lady. Age: Indeterminate. Gender: Female Host. Race: Maggot. Allegiance: Demons of Hell. Personality: Suparna was born of wickedness and subsists upon it daily, literally unable to live without cruelly devouring others to feed the Whole. She has yet to find another who can know the depths with which she began and thus how far she has truly come, except perhaps the Machina though she holds no love for them. It is Suparna's most ardent desire to prove her greatness to the world until they are the maggots who can gaze upon her with envy and fear, trembling at the insignifigance of their lives. This leads her to having immense loathing for the Angels, whose own self importance clashes with Suparna's ego. There hasn't been an Machina she's liked the taste off, though watching them flounder as their bodies are destroyed from the inside out is amusing for her. She is actually very amicable if she believes she's respected by someone. While it may seem that she is brash in her treatment of Chirada, it is born of the strictest confidense in her other half's ability to prove victorius. History: Where there is meat, there will be maggots. Where there are demons, there will certainly be a warping of the body and soul, even in the lowliest of creatures. 99% of the time this is negligible, but in one instance an insigigant creature feasting upon a demonic carcass came to find itself changed, as though the metaphorical "I Am" rang through it's head to signify the birth of consciousness. A sense of self in the lowly worm, the birth of an individual in a hive. It was astonishing, or would have been if a maggot was worth anything of note. With the advent of thought came the awareness of the surroundings beyond the search for sustenance, seemingly infinetly grand and ripe for the carrion, yet also frighteningly uncaring to its newborn desires. Solitary and isolated from the creatures it called kin, that which thought "I Am" could not stand to face the world and be shown for all its insignifigance. It cast aside reason and thought beyond instinct, living and dying accord to the natural order as all things do. Yet the mutation did not die with the individual, the offspring carrying the torch. One became several. Several became many. Many became legion. The legion remembered the words, the thoughts that made them look beyond their lives to percieve the reality around them, and now knew they were no longer insignifigant. It was then that legion became whole within the husk of a fallen demon, they became what would be called Suparna. Born of carrion, the taste for meat never departed even as she grew in refinement of thought. The earliest sighting of Suparna was with the lolita shell devouring a fallen arch demon, the legion comprising the whole leaking out of her sleeves to eat, reproduce, and repeat. It wouldn't be until reports of her devouring live meat en masse that she would officially join the Demon's ranks, the legion beneath the skin proving a horrific foe to face regardless of alignment. It came to a point in their service that Suparna was too great to contain within a single shell, so a second was needed. A grand monument to their existence, the testiment that they had risen from nothing with ease and could drag down anything they so wished. An eight winged angel descended to the field of battle and thought itself better than all before it. Suparna proved it wrong, devouring wing, bone, and meat till their was a husk ripe for their numbers to infest. Unlike Suparna, the former angel dubbed Chirada tooled entirely for the art of war and procurement of more meat to sate the hunger of the whole. Suparna and Chirada, two halves of the same whole, looking ever outwards till the day the world is the one that must look up at them. Powers: Infesation: The carrion that were once maggots have developed into thinner, longer creatures more adept at moving and devouring what is before them. Suparna and Chirada can expel them from their pours, open wounds, or orifices with great force. The carrion legion will enter the bodies of Suparna / Chirada's target, with the easiest point of egress being the same ways they were expelled. If given sufficient numbers they can easily eat through skin and armored plating to reach the innards within. The pain of a slow death by consumption is enough to paralyze most organic targets, and Machina will be rapidly crippled as their internal proccessors and mechanics are destroyed. Control: Once Infested, the victim can be controlled by the legion within them in a similar manner to how Chirada is, though Suparna won't bother maintaining control longer than the Infested body is useful and has the legion devour the host before returning to the Whole. This is also an excellent means of capture if the target lacks any internal means of combating the invading the carrion. Division: If Suparna or Chirada are cut, dismembered, shot, or stabbed, their bodies will reform around the wound unless the Whole decides otherwise. For all intents and purposes their bodies are elastic, pulling themselves back together from most anything physical. Union of Conscious and Form: Yet to unseen, but Suparna can enter the Chirada to reunite the Whole, forming a being stronger than they are seperate, but exactly how this is will remain unknown till Union of Conscious and Form is achieved. Weapons: Chirada: The only true weapon fighting for Suparna, Chirada is capable of Infesting the air and ground with ease. Inbetween every feather are carrion ready to be scattered with a beat of it's wings. Chirada is capable of splitting itself down the middle to expose it's innards and a cage of bone that it snaps closed around unsuspecting prey. This often leads to near instant consumption from all directions, but this is also how Suparna would take live prisoners to lord her status over when the fancy strikes her. The wing's themselves are weapons, capable of bludgeoning steel and rending flesh from the force behind each beat. Title: Shatter. Arctic Sorceress. Skyfall Age: 9 Years. Gender: Female. Race: Machina Allegiance: Machina Of Man. Personality: Among the Machina, the level of personality and emotion in each Machina is typically dependent upon rank. Being a custom model, Regia is allowed a fair degree of latitude, but just like her 'Element' she can be rather subdued in her mannerisms. She is proud in her position as a leader on the field, and while she may have a near human level of self preservation, Regia is a strong proponent of the "Leading From the Front" doctrine of leadership. She instills terror into the enemy with grand displays of decimation, and is pleased to do so whenever the opportunity presents itself. History: There is a lesser known theory among certain circles of mankind that magic could be defined as something that could replicated by technology given infinite resources and time. An act of flight would have been considered magic by a lesser developed being who was bound to the ground, so after discovering the Magic used by their foes in the Nexus, development was underway to emulate and create the Machina's own 'magic'. An experimental unit designed to imbue the characteristics of an archetypical 'Frost Mage' in a Machina body, Aqua Regia was created to unleash the power lorded over by Sorcerers and Demons with a Machina twist. Dubbed the Elementals, Aqua Regia -The Unit prefers Regia- was one of many who each had their own specialization around their construction. They require immense resources to create even for the Machina's prodigious infrastructure, but are capable of emulating the mass destruction unleashed by the Angels. Regia utilizes Liquid Nitrogen and is authorized to function as a Field Commander in conflict. Powers: Zone of Control: Machines function at optimal efficiency when properly cooled, and Regia is always in such a state. Releasing excess Liquid Nitrogen around her cools nearby Machina to improve performance while hampering organic beings. This provides them with unparalleled reaction times and efficiency of movement, while slowing the movement of organics regardless of faction unless insulated against it. Flight: Internalized propulsion systems allow Regia to be capable of flight independent of the necessity for wings or external combustion. Weapons: Multi-Purpose Rifle: Regia's primary ranged weapon is large caliber rifle easily operated one handed. It features two modes of fire that can be switched with an internalized command. The first mode is a liquid nitrogen thrower, spraying the compound in an expanding cone to freeze targets, mist, or target a large area. The alternative mode fires rivets of ice with an explosive payload to pierce, freeze, and shatter targets. Sub-Zero: A sword of ice with a jagged edge meant primarily for piercing a target via a strong thrust. It injects the liquid nitrogen that comprises it through the edge and tip, freezing from inside out rather than from without. The blade itself is adjustable in length, able to extend to indeterminate lengths, but will lose durability the farther from the default length. Glacial Injectors: Two tubes extending from the armor along the small of her back which are manipulated like any other limb. Each is tipped with an injector that can function like Sub-Zero, but only capable of piercing and ineffectually as a slashing implement. Can also be used to anchor Regia in place but attaching the injectors to an object. Niffleheim: The four floating units along Regia's back, seemingly locked in their set position until used. Like the Multi-Purpose Rifle, it has two modes of operation. First being a wide area pulse that flash freezes any unprotected source of liquid into a solid mass of ice, turning lakes, spilt blood, or clouds into solid masses of ice. The Alternative mode is a cold laser which requires the four units to join together before Regia in order to fire at full power. Equipment: Sensor Array: The headdress and horn around Regia's head, which provides Regia a complete awareness of her surroundings through a broad compliment of sensors across many spectrums. Instilled with wisdom beyond her ages, she acts with the belief that she knows best for those she is watching over or working for. She'd prefer to maintain the status of the kind matron, but those who spurn her or act poorly will be struck down swiftly. Those she serves are looked upon in a similar light, though being unable to chastise them, her reactions are more passive aggressive. History: When made aware that demons are as real as angels or killer robots, it would not be surprising to learn that the pantheons of other beliefs or those who have never been worshipped also exist. More often then not they are uninvolved with the Nexus and its affairs, but for those with an interest there were often proxies sent in their place. Ananta is within the Nexus as the proxy for three such entities, the Trimurti of the Hindu mythology. While that very same mythology would credit Ananta with immense in her own right, her presence is suitably limited out of a desire to not to bore her patrons gods, as well as what Ananta would say is "Respect for her host." Before her sojourn to participate within the conflicts of the Nexus, she had spent much of her existence meeting the various needs of Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu, more often then not being a nanny for the gods and their children alike. In her interactions she has had the greatest interactions with that of Shiva and Vishnu, as well as Shiva's offspring who is often referred to as 'The Eel.' Ananta is subservient to these beings but also commands a measure of respect for her loyal service, and Vishnu knows better then to upset the woman they sleep upon. Presented with the choice of faction to align herself with, she quickly dismissed the Demons for the troublesome lot she saw them as, though the decision between Heaven and the Machina had caused considerable delay in her arrival to the Nexus. She makes no secret of holding affiliations with certain members of the machine forces, but ultimately choose the Angel's after High Queen Eos made several remarks which left Ananta more uncomfortable then her interview with the Demonic recruiting office. Heaven was the obvious choice in the end. Powers: Ashura Arms: From anywhere upon Ananta's bodies, she can create up to three arms in order to defend herself or strike out against her foes. Damage to the arms does not harm Ananta, as they can be regrown soon after damage occurs and will only be eliminated once Ananta dismisses them or she loses consciousness. Each arm is a master with any weapon they wield, thought Ananta herself has no real skill when forced to use them in her physical arms. Serpent Body:Possessing the lower half of a large snake confers great advantages over bipedal movement, such as superior speed and strength through her tail. Ananta favors using her tail as a weapon sooner then she would her swords. Her fangs feature poison glands which release a mind altering sedative to quell resistance from unruly adversaries. One bite into the veins or vital organs will debilitate most humanoids.[/ Weapons: Rakshasa's Blades:Three straight swords kept sheathed along her lower back. Intended to be used by the Ashura Arms when no other weapons are found. Ananta herself would rather leave them undrawn then use them through her own strength. Ofuda:While the Ashura Arms are meant to slay her adversaries, Ananta is more inclined to disable and apprehend then she is to eliminate wholesale. Ofuda, slips of paper inscribed with symbols of magical power, serve to restrict movement when thrown onto or around a target. When arranged into geometric patterns, their effectiveness increases with the number of ofuda used (A pentagon being more effective then square.), though if sufficient numbers are thrown to cover a target then that will work, albeit less efficiently. Equipment: Shawl of Brahma:Blessed cloth from one of her patron deities. While it is durable and self-repairing, the shawl is indeterminate in length and width, allowing Ananta to bind something regardless of its size if her tail was unusable. However, it's more often worn for aesthetic appeal then direct combat. Equipment: A fantastic cuddler. Can carry three people upon her tail before being encumbered. Fond of sunbathing. Is predisposed towards the extremes of behavior, an attribute she'd accredit to her parents, that results in a full bodied woman refusing to do anything by half measures. The Elder Valkyrie is a passionate warrior who would be well regarded for her military efficacy had she not so many numerous ties to every group within the Nexus and beyond. Possesses strong maternal instincts and could easily be labeled an 'empty nester' whose need to nurture leads to great misfortune for Heaven in most regards. Threats against her legion of children tend to be met with a berserker rage that results in mass terraforming of the surrounding area if not quelled. Backstory: Born unto the Nexus from the union of War and Peace, Hildr is something of an anomaly in many regards. She is the recipient of both Gold and Silver eyes, yet managed to acquire them without the aid of any faction. Her own innate power facilitates travel between universes, though nowhere on the scale that was the former King of Hell, leading to an Angel who spends the majority of her life outside the ceaseless maelstrom of conflict that spawned her. Outside the Nexus she works as the chief of security for an influential company operating in circles but legitimate and improper for polite society. Despite boasting considerable fortitude and martial power, Hildr also totes an astonishing record for being captured by an enemy force, to the point she treats it more like vacation time then grueling torture and violation. That her mothering nature has resulted in her having so many offspring there are entire platoons of Machina and demon that call her their progenitor. Of them, she also had three daughters outside the Nexus to a human whose family name she took up, and a fourth among the Machina who adamantly wants to maintain familial ties. Regardless of her Blaise attitude towards her home faction and startlingly frequent shifts to enemy allegiance, she still returns to her home faction and revels in renewed conflict once again. Powers: -Dues Ira-The manifestation of Hildr's divine power as the offspring of War and Peace, cosmic forces with phenomenal power within the Nexus.
