I understand Cabal's point of view, but einar thinks the opposite.

Anyways, einar is acting that way because everyone sees him as "prey" and he just want to be left alone.
Cabal outright threatened him, since the first time they met (Einar still doesn't know that "delicious" was a compliment) and jackal just contributed to this. so he acted that way to say "don't mess with me" Since he is in fact outgoing, kind and curious with those that pose no threat. But both cabal and jackal got him alert. He is a hunter after all, and that's why his first instinct was to protect himself, showing to the others that they shouldn't mess with him.

What I told you about the knife, there was no way for him to have smelled or seen the it. and since we were inside the school, I doubt that cabal would do anything.
