Personality is used to have a hard lock on the characters likes, dislikes, and general ways the gm can use the character's feelings to manipulate how he or she would feel in an event or for specific character arc. You may disagree with it but I stand firm where I am. I am willing to let things slim down for personality if it is descriptive enough but that's something any person who's played Dungeons and Dragons knows is important. You can let a character develop over the story but they need a firm set of morals, ideals, and lines they're willing/not willing to cross.
