I mean, don't expect them to be able to perform an organ transplant or a bypass, but intravenous insertion (drawing/administering any kind of needle for the sake of treatments), foreign object extraction (usually done with a metal detector or a stolen ultrasound system and an array of forceps) may just be possible with a bit of luck. If you're desperate not to let anyone know you just got shot, Luciel is a bit inexperienced, but with little to provide for, his resources went into rent, bare minimums of food, and sending people off on jobs to get specific tools and books on the subject.
He has nothing else to do with himself besides help/kill others, work and learn. Upstart mob doctor, barista/waitress, hitman (in a pinch).

Edit: Best part is that he can second as his own nurse!
