[@Antarctic Termite], yes, Violet can join in on the village battle (if we don't accidentally nuke the horde or something during the avatar battle, but we're trying not to).

Re technological progress: as soon as I finish this horde village battle, Gerrik is going to be free to do what I want him to do, so I can go and start advancing hain civilisation (agriculture, martial arts, precursor to writing, calendar, other technologies which are currently only local, etc). It won't be anywhere near making cities, but the effects will be close to global.
