[@Mr Allen J] Your argument makes some sense but so does mine. Guy was jewish by ethnicity, jewish by belief, I put down jewish in ethnicity. Sorry for so horribly insulting your sensibilities by not being as well-versed in semantics as you are, hope that doesn't prevent you from playing or really upsets you. And if we were REALLY to fucking argue over a minor thing like that, a person that is not jewish by blood can't even "pick up" the jewish religion. Those people who do jewish things despite their non-Jewish nationality are called "Gers" and are never considered actually "Jewish" by religion or it's commandments, their ethnicity or otherwise even if they uphold the religion, since only actual genetic jews are the chosen people by their holy book. If a fucking indian gets a circumcision and studies Talmud he's still a Ger and not a jew or jewish, unless of course he had a Cohen in his mother's bloodline or any other genetical jew in father's. "Jewish" ethnicity, belief and in a big part even nationality are strongly and even inseparably intervined. And to your other point - "Hebrew" is not specific enough seeing as it is a collective term for SEVERAL ethnic/cultural groups living in the same region and "Israeli" denotes nationality specifically.
