Nobu has always known what he wants and has never doubted himself. Anythime he saw or thought of something he desired he worked his butt off to get it. He loves training and feels at peace when he is. He isn't the most friendly person ever, but he will always stand by those he calls his friends. The person he cares most about in the world is his younger sister despite the fact that they are practically nothing alike. However, after looking more into what she liked he found he enjoyed it to.

This caused his outlook on life to change. He was incredibly happy to be close to his sister, but everyother aspect of his life felt fake to him. He started becoming depressed, but didn't show it. His siter was the only one to notice. She decided to pull him into RPGs which started working. He enjoyed playing characters that were not like him.

[b][color=darkred]Why are you playing Sword Art Online?[/color][/b]
Nobu was becoming progressively unattached to his life. Everything about what he knew felt foreign. Seeing as he enjoyed RPGs, when one of his friends mentioned SAO Nobu began to look into the game. Because of the nature of the game he felt like it was calling him towards it. He desired to see if the life inside of SAO felt more real to him than his real life.

[b][color=darkred]Life Prior to Playing Sword Art Online:[/color][/b]
Nobu grew up as a martial artist. His family ran a dojo where many different styles were taught. The main form that was taught was Aikido. He practically started training as soon as he could walk. However, that is an exaggeration that many have taken as truth due to how proficient he is.

As soon as he was allowed to train though he did throw himself into it full force. Nobu had few friends and the only ones he did have were those he trained alongside. He cared little for much of what the rest of the world did, but when his little sister was born his values and thoughts started to change. She was very different from him in that she hated training but loved to lounge around reading manga or playing games.

Nobu adored his sister, but because of their differences they drifted apart. One day he found one of her manga's on the floor and he started reading it. The story of a young kid fighting his way through adversity to come out on top intrigued Nobu. He told his sister about his newfound interest and she was overjoyed. She introduced him to many of the things she liked to do and they grew close again.

With the sudden new interest into the world of manga, anime, and the such Nobu became detached from his life. He felt like he wasn't getting as much out of life as he could. His sister was the only one to notice this so she signed them up to become beta-testers. Nobu got accepted, but his sister did not. She told him to go ahead and enjoy the world of SAO and that she would wait for the full game.

Unfortunately, just before the full game came out Nobu's sister was in an accident, and put into a coma. This drove Nobu into depression and he heavily desired to escape the world that hurt his sister. So, when the full game came out Nobu threw himself to it without looking back.

[b][color=darkred]Life Since Playing Sword Art Online:[/color][/b]
Nobu loved the way he felt inside the 'game'. It felt a little more real to him than the outside world. Here his skills and abilities were useful. Out there they were mostly just for show. He may a few friends fast during the beta test, and they even started a guild with him as the leader. They all agreed to leave a slot at the top open for when his sister could join in.

After the beta test though when the full game began, Nobu abandoned those few friends without telling them why. He decided he would be a solo-player so that he wouldn't have to tell them anything about his 'life' in the place where his sister was hurt. Once the news that they were trapped in SAO was released Nobu almost freaked out. He soon realized though that he needed to escape so he could be there when his sister woke up.
