On the bridge of the Elicitor, Endian surveyed the surrounding valley as she took in multiple data feeds from different sources, to paint a better picture of what was around them. She knew the cargo they were transporting was important, and that meant that sooner or later the Demons and Angels would show up to try and take it. She would not rest easy until they had made it to their destination with the cargo in one piece. 'All units be on high alert,' she noted aloud through audio and electronic communications networks. 'This is the last chance an enemy will have to take our cargo. Do not give them that opportunity' At the moment she was ready to fight, not clad in hard armor but with her levitation unit equipped and projectors online. This sort of battle would be simple really. They merely had to defend until the Elicitor arrived. The Angels and Demons were the ones who had to attack, and there was the added benefit of the fact that the two would probably fight each other as much as the Machina, to ensure their foes dd not get what was being transported instead of them. Then the assault began, suddenly and with a fury. The sky filled with signatures, incoming angels that decided to strike first. "All units, open fire!" The battle had begun in earnest, and now it was just a matter of time. The fortress practically erupted in smoke and belching fire, quad cannons launching time fused shells into the sky that would explode in the air, casting shards of iron all about to rip and tear at any angels nearby. Machina opened fire from the decks as missiles popped into the sky and tracked approaching targets, shooting everything they could aim at. Other Machina prepared melee weapons to engage on the decks, to drive back the attackers and protect the fortress. Let the fire rage, for the enemies of man would find that this fortress had it's name for a good reason. They would not fall so easily.
