We begin at a crime scene at night, the camera showing the pained face of a police officer, then panning down to show the charred textbook in his hand. Then, we pan out, revealing the remains of the school, which had been blown to pieces. We then cut to several hours earlier, and tell the story of the last few hours of the lives of several students.
