Static let out a few simple chuckles before he shook his head in the ridiculousness of the former Boy Wonder’s quips as his hands became energized in a vibrant display of electrical energy. Joke-after-Joke. It was like being back with the Titans again— probably his most prominent point in his life, though he was hardly a sit in member due to his responsibilities back in Dakota City and the time constraints being a hero in several places at once. But his cape-wearing friends always understood and that made a difference from the guys he used to hang around with in Dakota. Despite having a whole lot of responsibility, Static wouldn’t have preferred it any other way. Had he not got gassed all those years ago he would probably be dealing drugs on some street corner or kicking down some guys door because he decided to snitch on the gangs— in some alternate universe he would be on a BET special about the hood of Dakota or going the way of Jay-Z. 

Actually that last one didn’t seem too bad.

Static flung some electricity out as Nightwing jumped around the rooftops and streets like a monkey on some kind of drugs Virgil wasn’t sure existed— but he had always moved like that. Static didn’t know how people [i]without[/i] powers could even do what they did without flinching. That kind of courage and gall wasn’t even in his zip-code. But then again, Nightwing was from New Jersey and he was from [i]Indiana[/i] so it was obvious that they had different zip-code’s as a rule.
