[@TheUnknowable] Apologies. The OOC said: "This ensures the magicians are either people of wealth or practically indentured servants to the guild. One way to escape such a service is becoming a guard." So I thought that leaving the guild to join the city guard was a way to not be legally prosecuted. Then again, it could also be that the service done for the mages guild could also be delivered to the guards, I guess. Could you shed some light on this because I Probably miss-read something?

[@Hellis] I will admit that the backstory is rather hastily written. I also did not have access to a spell checker of any kind. So my sincere apologies for this. With any luck, I can improve the grammar tomorrow. When TheUnknowalbe (or you) explained the magic guild situation a little I'll try to expand the back story.
