There is only room for one "cursed" knight in this town pilgrim. And yer looking at him.
(Not really, but I do like the idea of a disgraced noble. Maybe originally from a super wealthy section of Thaln where the order is basically a status symbol, but he/she f'd up bad and basically got run off.)
