Carefully, so as not to drop any of the bottles, Cinead rearranged what was left of the soda in his arms so that he could except the extended hand and give it a brief shake. As Anna moved off to set down her contribution to the snack selection, Cin had just turned to follow after her when the man he had just been introduced to stopped him, a serious expression on his face.

"... So you're Anna's boyfriend? Don't you dare hurt her, or I'll hurt you." The man threatened, causing Cinead to instinctively stiffen, A bubble of a growl catching in his throat before he could release it. Instead, the dragon shape shifter turned a glower on Rex, Fighting back the urge to curl his lips back from his teeth.

"I would never dream of causing any degree of pain to Anna. And I would happily tear anyone to shreds who would do such a thing." He rumbled in his deep voice before resolutely turning away from the man and marching over to the table where Anna had set down her chips and soda bottle. Part of him quietly wondered why he hadn't corrected the mistaken information of his being Anna's boyfriend, but the greater part of his mind was still irritated that anyone would think he was capable of causing her pain. He hadn't been worried about receiving pain himself, he doubted any human could cause much more then minor scratches if even that, but he was troubled that the stranger would make the assumption that Cin would be eventually planning on hurting Anna...
