Drono looked into the mirror. "It's so nice to meet me" He said staring at his reflection. There was something to the art of lying, it had to be say. It made the world so much more complex when paranoia was your go to mindset. They were gonna waltz into a smugglers den. They were going to dive into his waters. So of course we would lead the charge. Endorphins still kicked about in the back of his head. There was something to be said about being honest with people to. Shoot straight with the right people and it worked just as well with a charming lie. "So nice to meet you." He said to the reflection, a smile spreading across his lips as he drew upon his wells of swagger and confidence. The inflection in his voice changed for each time he spoke. The nervous edge began to pewter off as he drew upon the many deals he had made. "So nice to meet you Tenrom, I am Drono. You are going to be me for a while." Now his voice was cool and collected. The words of a seasoned scoundrel. Let them expect a scam, but let them expect the wrong scam. Make them think about price hikes, faulty equipment or pulling a quick one. That's what every smuggler expect. He stood back from the mirror. He had even spray painted a small mark on his shoulder. A scratched out logo made them think of defectors. It was all in how you presented yourself. The oldest scam in the world was simply called "The Confidence Ruse." Make them think you belonged, and people would not dare question what you were doing. He left the executor visible on his hips. Big guns on small guys made him appear like he was overcompensating. It would help sell him as one of swagger and not danger. Details were everything. "Sup, It's aight to meet ya, I am Tenrom." He said in a broader, confident dialect. He grinned. It was perfect. He felt alive like this. ----------- The road was bumpy. And he decided that he hated everything on wheels and he would demand shuttle rides everwhere. Each jolt of wheels hitting a bump made his spine tingle. But despite this the drell seemed confident and calm. He methodicly went trough the roles in his head. "Allright. I'm Tenrom to these fellas." he said, keeping to the voice he settled on. "I know how to deal with smugglers. These are my people we are dealing with, for better or worse. Tenrom Rook is a smuggler who used to work as for Hahne-Kedar. You know, the mayor Alliance suppliers? Either way. This is all about how we carry ourselves." He said as they began to pull in towards the smugglers base. Drono made a point to look the Salarian in the eyes. And then, from the depths of his brain. A plan began to form. One that come from deep within. A long con. The best of cons. As they began to to undload, he jumped off. He wasn't about to do heavy lifting in his state. But that didn't matter, they needed to have someone seem to important for grunt work. With the gait of a man on a mission, he moved on one of the guards. He snapped his fingers. "Yo, Mr Grunt." He called out and made the guard whip around to stare at him. "Yeah numbnuts." He said in that outerring accent of his persona. "You gonna be trouble?" The guard began. But before he could say another word, he was being stared down by Drono. "I am Tenrom, I am here with some really heavy guns." He said matter of factly. The guard blinked. "And your man at the gates didn't even know who we were. Who runs this operation, A kindergartner?" He asked, his voice was so full of confidence and barely contained rage it made the guard visibly take a step back. "If you wanna talk to security the-." The guard began but he was cut off with a short, almmost violently authorative snap infront of his face. "Yestin." Drono spoke the word without any vile. It was a near miracle, but it hit home. His old partner had been in the game for so long. And his big haul had made him hot shit in these circles. Everyone would like to make a deal with him. If he was selling, he was selling good stuff. "Excuse me?" The guard was now visibly shaken. "Yestin. YOu know the name, right?" "Yeah... Yeah he been here more then once." "I thought so. You see this babies behind me? They are brought trough several layers of security. Yestins gonna be fucking pissed if it gets lost in the shuffle. And this deal is more money then you will ever see in a year or two. So I wanna talk to the big man with the lists."
