Vera noticed Fabine glancing around warily, but was glad that he was true to his promise to let her make the decisions. She felt a bit of respect for him and nodded slightly as they continued on. She suddenly could smell campfire, and instinctively shrunk into the shadows of a tree. "We're close now," she whispered, more for her own sake than his.

Nova frowned when she heard footsteps crunching through the leaves in the distance. [i]The patrol shouldn't be near here, and I didn't think anyone else was out hunting...[/i] she thought nervously.
