Kaze is obviously new to town so it makes sense our characters don't know him but since it's a small town and our characters all go to the same school I figure they may at least know each other?

Kaori and Kenichi are the same age and so probably also the same grade (potentially also the same class) so I feel like they might at least know each of one another, especially since poor Kenichi has such a reputation. But whether or not he knows who Kaori is (or even cares) is totally up to you.

Kaori and Akatsuki should probably have met at least once or twice. Perhaps he eats where she works? Again, they're in the same school and I don't imagine it is a particularly big one so they would likely know one another exists. Or at least their face, but I don't know if there would be any further interaction? :o
