I could see it being a normal thing if you wanted it to be. I can see him getting along with Samantha a bit better than most. They both have...um... obviously interesting pasts with caged demons.

I didn't doubt that for a second, but really, he's glad she likes them

And she'll succeed, it just takes him a little while. Especially after he realizes that it was his anger and that is a downfall he gets from his father. So kinda fucks with him
