When not on the job though what she wears will usually be something of comfort and something she doesn't care if it gets ruined. Sweats and T-Shirts are not uncommon for people to see her in though when just around the ship she will usually be seen in combat boots, fatigues, and a tank top. Her hair is either down and just let to do what it wants or pulled back tightly in a slicked back bun reminiscent of her days at the Academy.

[b][color=f6989d]The Reason You Chose The Side You Did:[/color][/b] They say one moment can forever change the course of your life; nothing could be truer for Camilla. Seeing her fiance at the time slaughter so many and then put a preacher in chains was enough to turn her allegiances from that of the Alliance to that of the Independents. Breaking off the engagement and running for the hill, she has since been a Browncoat and hopes to save herself and those that have suffered at the hands of the Alliance for far too long.
 
[b][color=f6989d]History:[/color][/b] Camilla grew up on Ariel and had all the makings of a skilled woman of politics when she was younger. Doing well in school and excelling in her studies. She enjoyed the life that the Alliance provided her and her family. Her parents dreamed that one day she would become one of the highest governing officials on the planet. 

Yet when talk of unification broke out Camilla was one of the first to sign up and in her entrance testing was found to have remarkable skills when it came to interrogation. She was filtered off to hone these skills as well as others and became an invaluable asset to the Alliance when it came to gathering the information needed to squash the Independents. 

She felt she was doing good and was excited to be sent with her then fiance to the Battle Of Serenity; both of them thinking she would be able to ensure that there were no further uprisings or plans in the works when they captured the ranking officers. But things did not go as planned and she witnessed something she could never forget and doubts she will ever forgive. 

At that moment she ran and turned on the Alliance. If this was what the Alliance was she wanted nothing to do with it. Her knowledge of the Alliance would have been of great use if the Independents had anything left in them but they didn't. Still, she was not turning back and started training, becoming a hire Merc for those that were former Browncoats. 

Now another war has broken out and she feels she owes the Browncoats all she has to make up for the injustices they have suffered; especially those on the Vengeance.

Things are tense between Ani and Camilla but that doesn't mean they don't work well together. They have both witnessed first hand the terrors of her Ex-Fiance. Camilla respects the woman for the job she is doing and what she wants to accomplish but even though she has switched sides she still has a hard time swallowing some of the Captains tactics.

Camilla doesn't hold anything against Jackson despite the fact he doesn't trust her. She can't exactly blame him. If their roles were reversed she doubt she would trust him. She feels bad for what Quinn did and blames herself partially because she had no power to stop the man. She wishes she could have. She wishes she could make Jackson understand that there was someone else that Quinn was before the war, just like she suspects Jackson was a very different man before the death of his wife but she doubt she will ever get him to be able to see that his and Quinns reflections are very similar.

Camilla has no problems with Genevieve, in fact she enjoy being around the woman. She feels she is the one person on the ship that probably doesn't think she is just with the Vengeance to help her Ex-Husband get to certain crew members. While Camilla isn't one to speak about her past, she has opened up from time to time to Genevieve, the woman is just easy to speak with.

Whether she shows it or not, Camilla actually likes Gideon for the most part. He is just young and driven by his hormones in her mind. She knows he can cause problems and that a lot of the crew want him to grow up. In her mind, he will soon enough so while he should take some things more seriously, he should be able to enjoy his youth and innocence. She has been known to get Captains and Jack's attention when they are coming down on him and taking the heat. She figures they aren't ever going to trust her anyways, so might as well save one person from their scorn.

Both women were originally Alliance members and so they both know how it feels to switch sides and the looks they can get because of it. While Dorothy has settled into being a Browncoat better than Camilla has, they two are still friends and talk to each other a lot. She wishes the rest of the crew could understand where she is coming from but at least Dorothy understands and doesn't just see her as a turncoat who will stab them all in the back in the end.

Camilla tolerates Preacher more than anything. It is not that she dislikes him but his constant bombardment of verse and reminding her of what he Ex-Fiance did leave a raw taste in the back of her mouth. As long as he is drinking and gambling she doesn't have a problem with him but she has come close to bashing him over the head with his own bible.

These two are anything but friends. Their relationship just doesn't work that way but there is a mutual respect hanging over both of them. Camilla has no problem doing things if he needs her help. Be that anything from heavy lifting, to bodyguard work, to offing something. She is a mercenary after all and her particular set of skills is for hire. She doesn't hang out with him though outside of a job. They have a very wide line between work and pleasure that neither step over.

Camilla really doesn't have an opinion one way or the other when it comes to Daphne. As far as she is concerned she pilots Vengeance and that is basically it. The two don't talk other than the occasional small talk if they happen to be eating in the dining room at the same time.

After she left she figured that was the end of that friendship, like so many others but Jahosafat kept in contact. They are still friends even if distantly but she won't give into his requests to come back to the side of the Alliance, no matter how charming he is.
