[@Rune_Alchemist] Ah but that's the glory of it: That might not happen! Fran might win after all, who knows, we haven't fought each other yet. As for the odds, well, I can't say that's entirely true Rune. True the Machinas at least had a clear objective, but they could only have succeeded due to pulling their trump card fast. The Angels made short work of the Machina's defenses and at the rate it was going, it was only a matter of time before they would have somehow managed to have destroyed the Elicitor without even knowing it's lay out. Even the demons have made some pretty solid headway despite the Elicitor supposedly hunkering down for a full on defense. I think the reason the battle is going to end soon because right now we're at that climactic moment were victory can be achieved in the matter of moments. The Angels might still have some way to clear through the dirt (Or for Diana and Gwynn to escape), the demons could capture and teleport away with Bastion, or the Machinas could eliminate all their enemies and save themselves. The fact that one of the three must happen is why the battle is going to end soon: Whoever is closest to achieve one of the three will be the winner of this battle. And yeah, wars will drag on, but battles can end quickly. This battle could have ended the moment Victoire dropped her big ball of blood onto the Elicitor, or if the Angels zerged the defenses and ripped through the hull. The Machinas could have started going underground immediately instead of trying to duke it out against the angels and demons. Now did we do the best thing to win the battles? Nah, but that's war for ya. Besides, this battle hardly decides who the winner of the war is. It's just another battle of the many within the Nexus, and what happens here may not affect the outcome of the war at all. Maybe, I dunno, the GM's are a cruel and fickle folk. They took my kidney. Please send help.
