The smell of hay and oats greeted her nose as Aurora held a brush in hand. A soft smile on her lips while she allowed her fingers to carefully feel the delicate features of the filly in front of her. Smooth fur, still that of a foal, with what had to be kind eyes and playful nipping at her wrist earning a light swat on the still soft nose. "Not with me sweetie." A new filly she was. One of the Grooms explaining how the horse had a coat that looked almost like a strawberry blond, a early sign of sorral no doubt. With a full white mask and four high white stockings, she could only imagine how precious the animal in front of her was. A sweet thing who taken to the Lorell stables well, often walking right up to the stall door and nicking, asking for any sign of affection. But sweetness was not why she was being tacked up by Aurora's own hand. Her damn was a world class jumper and sire that of Bold Ruler, both legends. If she took to her lineage then the Albino would be having a nice new addition to the team to take over for Lilly who was retiring soon. "You good Aurora?" The voice of a groom at her left, Aurora nodded her head, handing him her cane. "Yeah, I got a helmet on, I'll be fine if I'm thrown." Smile turning into a grin she gave the horse a strong pat on the neck, a snort causing the muscles beneath her hand to shake. "She's strong." "And big, she might end up being too big to carry you and her over a jump when she gets older." "Well then we just find her a different job. Cross Country or endurance racing, she has a good temper for it." "You know how your parents are, they won't stand for anything that won't bring in ether platinum or money." A frown on her features, Aurora grabbed the iron stirrups, placing her boot she pulled herself up. The creaking leather and steady breathing beneath her repeating in perfect rhythm. She could feel the animal shift beneath her, changing her stance to get used to the new weight on her back. "They just don't know how to work the trade is all. Happy horses mean better rating." With the words spoken she began to give the filly a kick. The groom walking beside her in case anything spooked the young horse. "So, you got a name yet?" She could hear the flicking ear from the horse going back and forth, trying to figure out what her humans are saying. "Not yet, maybe after this ride I'll think of something." The iron gate opening into the arena, Aurora began to ride in. The filly being uneasy at first, shaking her head and backing up, yet with a few kind words like a patient mother she was coaxed in. The gate closing behind them and Goliath sitting and waiting in case he is needed. It was a windy day that's for sure. She could hear the howling air causing some of the creaking shudders to shake like old tine in a dusty ally. A barrel of some kind falling over causing the filly to spook, rearing up and backing in hightend steps yet once again the Albino calmed her down with a gentle hand and kind word. "You're fine sweetheart." Eventually getting the new ride into a comfortable pattern, Aurora began cantering the horse around the fence line. The easy breathing and arched neck began to show all signs of power. Footsteps at ease, long and collected, movements showing grace far older then her years. "Loki might be in trouble if you show him up in drassage." A light laugh escaping her, she took the filly over a small jump. Just to get a feel for the creature without pushing her. They were honestly being a little lazy, a smile on her face when she could hear the unmistakable roar of Loki, a proud stallion who knows his rider is talking behind his back. Yet as they were riding in he centre, the filly began to grow uneasy again. Rearing, tossing her head, Aurora could feel the poor thing's heart beat loud and proud within her chest. "Easy, easy, you're okay..." Yet as a large gust of wind caused the sound of snapping wood to sound painfully sharp in her ears, her blood began to turn to ice. "Go!" yet the filly did not understand. Under her fear and the sudden command she began to fight against her rein. Screaming even only to move again in what seemed like an eternity. "Come on!" Yet the filly was tired, she was new. And Aurora could do nothing as the roof began to cave in on top of them. --- Goliath seeing the signs of distress was already long gone. The gate marred with his teeth as he tried to get through the locked gate that the Groom stupidly put up. Barking like a hell hound yet finding no one in his path, the dog turned out of the stable, nipping and pleading at the first bystander that walked by.
