They had found their horses after a bit of searching, thank God. Rylen and Mel mounted their steeds, and the pure Westerner let out a sigh. Mel glanced at him. Rylen shook his head. "Never killed a woman before. I'm thinking I might need to before this whole thing is over." he said. He didn't mean he thought he was going to kill Mikasa specifically, but if her being a warrior wasn't an uncommon thing... Mel shrugged. "I admit I dislike the thought as well, but at the end of the day, they're people just as we are. And they bleed the same way." Rylen gave him a look of both disgust, but a confirmation of understanding. "So, on to the battlefield?" Mel nodded. "Let's stay quiet for now. She'll be heading the same way." They turned their steeds and rode off into the woods at a light gallop, making sure to stay slow and within the trees so as to keep themselves from being spotted by more unwanted eyes. None of this sat well with Rylen, and the meeting with the two Easterners a moment ago only made him feel more uneasy. This was becoming all too real, as if the skirmish yesterday wasn't already real enough. They halted upon a rise, Rylen pointing the battlefield out to Meldarion. "It was over there in the clearing." he said. "I know." Mel said calmly, his eyes glinting in the moonlight. Rylen was about to question his comrade on how he could see the battlefield in the dark from all the way over where they were. He hadn't been in the battle. But he'd seen the Dragon slayer do far too many questionable things he'd deem inhuman. [@SlashInfinite]
