Carole, 14
[sup]
Calamity Jane. Low key aspiring pop-star and George Michael enthusiast.
[/sup] [sup]
❱❱❱❱ FULL NAME
[/sup]
Carole King (yeah, as in the singer) Thornton
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ NICKNAME(S)
[/sup]
-Carole -C.T
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ DATE OF BIRTH
[/sup]
May 16 1971.
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ GENDER
[/sup]
Female
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ APPEARANCE
[/sup]
Carole plainly reflects her jauntiness may it be through dressing up or by just how she generally looks. She stands at 5'4, though scaling a bit on the slim to fit side, Carole has not completely outgrown her baby fats. That or the girl just couldn't get a hold of her appetite. "She's a growing girl, after all." Her father would usually say. She has a look of a typical southern cowgirl, dirty blonde hair, sunkisssed cheeks and tan lines and a discernible Tennessee accent that she fruitlessly attempts to hide. Her eyes looks platinum at first glance, but is actually a rich blue tint when you get a real good look at it. Her dimples would show whenever she smiles, which is not so often difficult to make her. She keeps her hair long, up to her waist which her mother would religiously brush or fondly braid into pigtails back when Carole would still let her. Now though, she'd rather just pony it herself. Carole isn't one for dressing up though her aunts would push her to be more ladylike. Overtime she grew accustomed of Sunday dresses, but would still prefer a crop top shirt or flannels donned over or tied to her waist, a pair of faded cut off shorts and boots/chucks any day .
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ PERSONALITY
[/sup]
Carole grew up with loving and supportive role models who attentively raised her to be equally the same. She acquired her love for animals from her father who was a vet from the city way before he moved to the country. A good 80 percent of her personality (and looks) came from her mom, a wild and spunky cowgirl who worked as a singer before she met her dad. Despite growing up in the deep south Carole was raised in a non conservative household and her parents would encourage her to do whatever she wants without the limits of orthodox ideologies. Though she partly acknowledges the concept of religion through her mother and aunts who are Christians, and would even assist them in church gatherings but Carole was never really brought up to it. Her parents instead honed her to be an open book, the idea that no one should restrain themselves in getting whatever makes them happy hence her strong will, or a better word would be stubbornness, to achieve what her heart desires even to the point where she does not care of the possible consequences of her actions. Although Carol was raised to be good, that goodness can only be limited to her closest friends. When faced with a dilemma, she'd instantly choose something that benefits her alone or her friends no matter if its good or bad As long as she's not the one dangling on the shorter end of the stick, she don't give a fuck. It would seem selfish, but to her its a matter of practicality and survival. Her loyalty is unwavering, and would willing to hurt others for the sake of those she cares for if she really has to. This won her a few real friends overtime, some even former rivals who used to hate her guts. Carole has always been interested in pop music and aspires to be a musician like her mother. She doenst really sing in public though, partly because she thinks singing is lame and is so not like her, and partly because of her insecurity with her accent and raspy voice. It became more of a low-key hobby and she never really put that much attention to it. Though she fondly listens to music in her walkman instead, sometimes unawarely humming and dancing to a good beat. Grew up and raised in Los Angeles, he moved to Idaho after he finished his degree to find work as the local cattle vet. A calm and gentle man, Carole inherited her blonde hair and blue eyes from her father, and so is his love and dedication for taking care of animals. Being the kind and supporting father that he is, Olivier always makes time to spend the weekends with her daughter despite his sometimes hectic schedules. Their time would spend watching a local game, riding horses, teaching her how to shoot an airsoft rifle or maybe just sit and chill in the porch. Margot Thornton, 40 - Mom. Authoritarian. Margot worked as a singer before she had Carole. She named her daughter after her favorite singer, Carole King. Coincidentally, she was singing "So Far Away" the night she first met Olivier at a lonesome dingy bar during the summer of 69'. She worked as a full time housewife when Carole was born, and filled in the role of a disciplinarian, keeping in check of her daughter whilst being a cool and bad ass mom at the same time. Nowadays she works part time at the post office, either distributing packages in the office or hands on delivering them. Carole has an inconsistent relationship with her mother, Margot sometimes having trouble understanding her, as all mothers of growing teenagers do. Rambo, 3- Family Labrador. Other best friend. Thornton family mascot and baby. This is strictly for your characters' relationships with other player characters in the roleplay – what they think of each other.
[sup]
❱❱❱❱ TALENTS
[/sup]
- Can shoot a rifle good. Spent time with her dad shooting bottles in the ranch. Although she never actually shot a real gun before, and is yet to graduate from airsoft guns to the real thing. - Basic Survival knowledge such as how to make a fire with two sticks (she still sucks at it), or how to properly cook a squirrel though she wishes to never ever go there. She learned beforehand mostly from camping books or from an issue of National Geographic on her dad's tapes. - Knows how to properly knot a rope. Also, she can ride a horse like a rodeo queen. Can herd a cattle and distinguish a sick cow among a cattle with just one look. -Although she's not exactly that good, nor terrible, Carole can sing and sometimes write songs if she feels like it. Her unique voice texture had given her a distinctive style. Give her time to work it out and she'd be a pop star in the making.
