The trip to Virmire was a quick one and the change in scenery was for the better. Tropical, humid and lush. The haul courtesy of the Alliance was better than Dex could have imagined, she expected a box of scraps at most. She didn’t argue the point just said a very pleasant thank you to Captain Donnelly and thanked the spirits. Dex waved off her co-pilot before ducking into the Yolac once Iosif successfully brought the ship to land. “When we’re done it’ll be my turn to take the Kite out for a spin.” The turian said lightly. “I’ll work on getting secure communication lines set up first between the observation team and the Borealis. Keep you in the loop in case either team goes dark. It’ll be radio silence until I contact you.” Dex was a little jealous of Iosif getting the first chance to fly the Kite but she had insisted on joining the infiltration team. It only made sense. She knew how to blend and lie through her teeth, basics for any spy. The ride in the Yolac was infinitely smoother than the shitty truck they had used on Omega. Dex called shotgun and had her foot resting up on the dashboard steadying against the bumps and rough terrain while Tonka drove. Enjoying the sights and fresh air from the beaches while steadily crafting her identity. She kept her story simple and straightforward. Easy to remember and just as easy to build a fake digital profile. She had generated reports and good buzz about her reputation as a trustworthy dealer at least as Fausta the pirate. When Drono and Tonka mentioned their names she introduced her persona. “My name is Fausta, upstart pirate after successfully mutinying a Hierarchy ship and crew. Even crafted phony Wanted reports for everyone here according to your stories of course. You’re welcome by the way.” Dex said tapping a few buttons on her omnitool. Turning in her seat to look at the team sincerely noting, “Drono is right. Don’t panic and act like we belong. Stick to your story and you’ll be fine.” They arrived to the gates and Tonka talked to the guard and when they pulled away Dex scoffed at the comment the guard made about the outgoing signals. “Not for long…” The weapon inspection was relatively efficient though with only a few snaps of telling the grunts to hurry the fuck up. Fausta wasn’t patient and liked to complain loudly about how important her time was. While the salarian and human inspectors weren’t cowed by Fausta’s attitude they scribbled off their approval of the weapons giving them a report and grade average for the quality, leaving the Riggers to their own devices to hunt down some buyers. Drono made a beeline dropping Yestin’s name without a second thought. Dex winced at that decision. Drono had no idea what kind of reputation Yestin’s name held in these parts. Good or bad. When he grabbed the guard’s attention and sent him packing to get in with some buyers Dex motioned to Tonka. “Tenrom will meet with those buyers.” Dex said turning to the others. “I’ll take Kiv to find anyone else interested. ” Then leaned in close to whisper to Tonka, “I need to find an access point to open secure comms. Mind lending a hand?”
