Team KESS - Patrol Mission
The worker closest to her nearly had a heart attack when she saw Krysthane emerge from the food cart, almost dropping the silver tray of food but thankfully recovered and averted a crisis. Sighing heavily and setting down the silver tray as she fanned herself, she looked at Krysthane up and down as her brow furrowed in confusion. All other activity in the room stopped as eyes were all on the blonde 'drunkard'. The room was became dead silent as no one moved or said a word. A young teenaged girl who bore no badge or identification on her. Who wasn't dressed in any recognizable uniform. Acting as though she was a worker just like them? When all of them had been working here for some time and knew each other quite well, and there having been no notice of a new hire? It was obvious. She was either a 'guest' who had consumed a little too much alcohol from...somewhere. Or she was neither a 'guest' and quite simply an intruder of some sort. As the first worker to lay eyes on the girl, she would be the first to take action. Not taking her eyes off of Krysthane as she pulled out her mobile device, she speed-dialed the emergency number that connected to security. They didn't buy her bluff. Not one bit. "Security? We have an uninvited guest. Yep. Mm-hmm. Okay. See you soon." Locking her phone, she pocketed it as she crossed her arms across her chest. She started tapping her foot impatiently as she stared down the blonde. Within seconds, three guards stormed through the doors. Unfortunately, one of them recognized her. It was the guard from before, from the security kiosk. Just her luck that he had been rotated off his guard watch and onto patrolling. Pointing at her, he exclaimed "Hey, I know you! Ma'am, I'm gonna have to ask that you come with us." As two of the men approached Krysthane to gently guide her out of the room, the third guard radioed back all of the information to the main office. From there, the chain reaction started.
"Sir? We're receiving reports of a young female in her teens has been going around questioning patrons." A young dispatcher at the main security office on the grounds turned in her chair, adjusting the square glasses on the bridge of her nose as she addressed the 'Security Chief'. The man had his back turned to her, boredly tossing a bouncy rubber ball against the wall and catching it over and over. "And? That can't be it now..." The woman turned back to skim at the information that was being displayed on her screen. "Well, sir. She's just been detained by security where Mr. Sapphric is entertaining some esteemed guests." The man caught the ball but didn't toss it this time, tightly clenching it in his hand sighing. "We can't have interlopers interrupting Mr. Sapphric's little get together. Find out who she is." The woman began to type away at her terminal. "Right away, sir. As soon as the security officers send their report to us after questioning, I'll let you know im-" The man cut her off, waving his hand. "No, no, no. That'll take forever. Access the video feed and utilize that expensive assed facial recognition software we hardly ever use." The dispatcher, flustered at how she was so rudely cut off, huffed and did as she was ordered. After a few minutes of silence, minus the resumed ball-bouncing by the lazy security officer, they had their answer. "Sir? The girl's name is Krysthane. No last name listed for her...oddly enough." The man hmm'ed. "Well, that's a unique enough name. Did we get any hit backs from any registered databases?" The woman stared at her screen for a moment before answering. "Her name appears to be registered to one...Beacon Academy. She's apparently a registered Huntress-in-training." With a loud clatter, the man fumbled and stumbled out of his chair. Falling on his ass as papers and writing utensils clattered about, the woman turned just in time to catch an errant bouncy ball in her palm. "Sir! Are you okay?" As the man sputtered and struggled to get back to his feet, he reached for the shiny red phone on his desk as he barked an order to the dispatcher. "Shit! They are here? Beacon Hunters work in teams! Have the others scan all video feeds and search for any other Huntsmen on the grounds! Tell them to use the same technique we utilized to locate them!" The woman frowned. "W-...Well, okay sir. But, who are you calling?" "I'm calling Mr. Sapphiric!"
Somewhere...walking down a hallway... His phone rang. Vibrating within his pocket and causing him to halt in his stride. The man in the tan suit and sapphires for buttons let out a quiet sigh as he slipped out his cell and looked at the screen to see who it was. With another sigh and pinching the bridge of his nose to relieve the growing stress he answered the and put it to his ear. "Y-" He immediately regretted putting the phone up to his ear, wincing as the voice on the other end practically shouted a hole into his ear drum. Frowning, he kept the phone at a distance as he spoke into it. "Calm down! Now speak. What is the matter?" As the man stood there listening, a dark expression was cast over his features. "Thank you for informing me. Resume your duties. I will have it taken care of." Ending the call, the gentleman speed-dialed his own emergency contact. It was answered on the first ring. "Yes, Mr. Sapphiric. How may I assist you?" the icy cold, yet smooth voice on the other end cooed. "We have intruders. They're Huntsmen from Beacon. I want them gone, but do not cause a scene!" The voice on the other end chuckled, evidently not worried about the situation. "Consider it done, Mr. Sapphiric." The call ended. The man in the tan suit pocketed his phone and readjusted his clothing. Resuming his stride, undaunted.
Simultaneously, unless each Huntsmen had been looking at their Scrolls at that exact moment, their Scrolls began to blare loudly. Vibrating and flashing as it continued to set off its own alarm. Upon a glance, the display of their Scrolls depicted a rather serious message. "ATTENTION: TO ALL HUNTSMEN OF BEACON ACADEMY. REPORTS HAVE SHOWN THAT BEACON ACADEMY AS A WHOLE HAS SUSTAINED COUNTLESS CASUALTIES IN THE FIELD FOR A NUMBER OF UNDETERMINED REASONS. AS A RESULT OF THESE ALARMING NUMBERS, BEACON ACADEMY HAS DECLARED A STATE OF EMERGENCY. ALL MISSIONS ARE TO HEREBY BE CANCELED, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. EMERGENCY AIRSHIPS HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED TO EACH HUNTER CELL'S LOCATION. HUNTER TEAMS ARE TO REPORT TO THE INFIRMARY UPON THEIR RETURN FOR A MANDATORY FULL PHYSICAL HEALTH EXAMINATION. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS AUTOMATED MESSAGE." At the same time, a gathering of Knights and guards converged on Ebon's and Skyra's location. The bad guy mascot, having sustained damage and its position compromised, backed off from Skyra. Dismissing its barrier as she became distracted by her mobile device, it turned and broke off into a sprint. Leaping off the side of the building and landing safely as it disappeared from sight. Off in the distance, an airship could be seen and heard soaring through the skies. On its way to retrieve the Huntsmen.
