They have damaged it and I hope I am allowed to reveal that as the RP goes as to not to spoil that part. Its why he is insane and did the thing he did.. He is playing with magic that is twisting his mind and causing him to do things nobody would normally do. But he does them thinking they bring him closer to bringing back his one true love..Who he killed in a fit of rage...
