[b][h2]Nation Intro[/h2][/b] Ion is a single city that has given up their land claims on the ground to reside entirely in the sky as a massive floating city. The center of the city is taken up by academic colleges that teach all studies that can be found on the planet and even has a special college dedicated to the arcane arts of magic. The rest of Ion is under the watch of the merchant guild which handles all importing and exporting material and goods that keep the city running. The Cloud City can normally be seen surrounded by large clouds which is how the city got it's name, but these clouds are actually steam expelled from the city but the generators and other factories.

Ion does not have a set location within the word as the city goes wherever it is needed. The movement of the city is mainly directed by the needs of the merchants or a particular college study.

[b][h2]Society[/h2][/b]Cloud City Ion prides itself as being a cultural hub for the world as all are welcome to the city no matter their background. All that is asked of the people that visit the city is that they do not cause trouble and enjoy their stay. The backbone of Ion's society is the is the academic colleges and thriving merchant fleet that travels the world to trade goods from around the world. There isn't really any social classes in the city as everyone is given the same opportunity and it is left up to the person as to how to live their lives. 

Ion's governing body is not made up of elected officials or even a monarchy, but is instead ruled by a council made up of eight academic presidents as well as the three leaders of the merchant guild. It is these eleven that put aside varying views and their differences in races to push forward for the benefit of their great cloud city. The council holds complete power over the entire city, but are held in strict control by their own city charter so that their power can not be abused or for personal gain. 


[b][h2]Economy/Industry[/h2][/b]Ion is a city that is laid out like a five pointed start centered around a central district. The city is broken into six districts with the central most being the Academic district. The distracts that surround the Academic distract are the Port, residential district, Market district, agricultural district and the manufacturing district.
