[indent][indent]aloof [b]||[/b] disinterested [b]||[/b] single-minded [b]||[/b] hesitant [b]||[/b] self-interested[/indent]Saffron has a tendency to be more interested in his own self and desires, often coming off as more uncaring towards others', his focus more on his studies and hobbies. When becoming interested in a subject, however, he's very driven and easily motivated. Simple minded, it often takes Saff only a few well worded sentences to convince him in doing something-- usually if it revolves around his hobby or another point of interest. As he is a bit self-absorbed at times, it only makes sense he is protective about himself and his belongings, often becoming very defensive if a sensitive point in his image is pointed out, such as his horns being uneven or his stave being dumb.

One to plan specific points in his life's timeline (and the type of person to make his life, future included, into a timeline), Saffron is very interested in saving as much energy as possible in order to follow the loose plan. As such, he can often be found faltering when certain situations call for sacrifice or effort, either making roundabout excuses or even just plainly walking away. As stated earlier, however, despite the hesitance, Saffron can almost as easily be convinced to jump back so long as there is-- or he believes that there is-- something for him in return.

[b]History:[/b]
[indent]Saffron was born to a family that specialized in blood magic, with horns from four to eight lining their cheeks or jawlines. The small family of five lived nomadically through the desert areas, stopping over at other towns and cities now and again for trade. The family mainly operated as trinket traders with another family, though often Saffron's parents would disappear, leaving him and his siblings to care for finances and adult shit while they were away. Though his father had a License, he wasn't a Hunter-- neither his parents were. Rather, they were like storybook heroes, helping those that needed help in whatever town they stopped over.

Their specialty was, as stated earlier, blood magic. Sensing, identifying-- when it came to tracking down someone, the blood mages were adept at their job. Dubbed as Blood Hounds, his parents trained Saffron along with his siblings, in order to "sniff" blood out. Out of all of them, Saffron became the best at he did, and when his parents died, it was him who took up the mantle as Blood Hound, happening around the same time he had gotten a Hunter's License. His siblings, who were quite content in doing as their parents did, didn't seem to mind when Saffron decided to leave, his journeys leading him town to town and occasionally almost dead, before he latched on to his current Party.

It is also well noted that, in his aging, Saffron has developed different interests and hobbies, one of which is collecting blood. As a blood mage, and as a tracker, he grew tired of searching for similarly flavoured blood, and as such has gathered quite a collection. Though the thought of collecting blood in itself seems disgusting and maybe even a bit loony, rest assured Saffron is careful in not being obsessive and while at times forward in his demands, ultimately is rather polite.[/indent]

[b]Skills and Abilities:[/b]
[indent]Not having taken proper schooling for magic, Saffron's skills are rough around the edges, and since he was trained so, wields a stave rather than a casting device. Saffron's magic specializes in blood, and also works in three tiers. The first tier include easy magic that can be used so often it may come off as habit, like tugging at hair. Sensory magic is included in tier one, an ability he has used so often it almost comes out habitually, making sure no one is around.

Tier two tends to revolve around magic that needs a little bit more effort, like making someone's blood trackable. Tier two also contains most of his offensive moves, such as Python Curtus, which involve cutting himself and manipulating snake like ligaments formed out of his blood. 

Tier Three, or Infinitum Nihil, are magic that require sacrifices. In some cases it requires a secret, other times it requires something more alive. Unlike the past tiers, this one requires Ki as well, and a lot of it. Also unlike the past tiers, Saffron doesn't have to use a lot of blood to kickstart his spells, the earlier mentioned sacrifices often sufficing. Tier Three tends to really tire Saff out though, and he hates being tired.

In terms of Ki, Saffron was never properly trained for it either and is out of practice. The most he puts effort in for it is when it's required for his third tier magic, though he does try and revisit the practice now and again, if only to help strengthen him slightly in an intimidating climb or something similar.[/indent]

[b]Equipment:[/b]
[indent]Under Saffron's cloak, he carries three daggers of varying designs and sizes. Two for stabbing, one magically infused for throwing. That said, he uses the stabby knives more often considering of his piss poor aim. 

On his belt he caries a number of small individual black vials, some empty and some filled with blood. He used to carry water as well, but accidentally drinking his collection during hazy nights in the desert happened one time too many and he nixed water as a whole.

His stave is his height if not a bit taller, and is simple in design. If not for the crystal embedded runes, could pass for a simple walking stick. Saffron tied string around it connecting it to his wrist, just in case.[/indent][/hider]
