Thanks for your interest! To answer your question, magic is actually magic. The state of the world now evolved from a time with mages, knights, dragons, and all that. Very steeped in fantasy. While attempts were made to try and explain the existence of magic, it largely remains a mystery even in the present and it's seen as just a natural part of things.
