Once upon a time, one of the finest breed of noblemen, knights and warriors in all of the land. They made their name ceveral centuries ago, by fighting dragons, rallying the average monster hunter, and using skill, cunning and incredible strength, they were able to take down the ultimate beasts - The Dragons. Untill the last century, his grandfather was the last to face a dragon in combat. A encounter he walked away from. Sure, there are still whispers of dragons lurking in the mountains, or in far away lands. But the overall consensus is that the dragons were beaten hundreds of years ago, that Dunamis is no longer plagued by the draconic lords. As such, Zachariah is the first to be trained as a warrior, a hunter. Trained to be a soldier and a hunter, of more things than dragons. While keeping the traditions of the Dragon Knights intact, he's got a lot to prove to himself, and to the world. A Thousand years worth of family fame to rebuild, and it all hinges on him finding a dragon, and killing said dragon. A lot of pressure, to be certain - and that has affected his personality a lot, making him rather serious, motivated and hard working. He follows orders, and he follows them good. But being a soldier would of course, never be enough. He had to find a dragon to fight. And you don't find dragons while guarding noblemen from bandits. He needed to get his hunting license, which frankly, was pretty easy for him. But he is young, and still has a lot left to learn. He holds onto his convictions and his virtue above all else, the motto his grandfather taught him before his passing forever rings true. Conviction is stronger than any blade. A more fierce weapon than any gun. For with conviction virtue, even broken bones can break chains.
Skills and Abilities:
Soldiering: He's good at following command, and your basic combat strategies, he's also quite adept at fighting other people, but still lacking in ability of fight monsters. With his almost ten years of soldier-training comes strong physical prowess, further improved by his Ki-skill. Dragon Knight: He's got the blood of the Dragon Knights in his veins. His family have spent hundreds of years imitating the dragons, their way of fighting, their way of thinking, even their way of using magic, allowing them to pass on this knowledge from one generation to the next. Zac is far from a fully-trained Dragon Knight, as there are no dragons around to hunt, but he already knows plenty, using unconventional fighting styles, and even able to channel magic and Ki into fierce draconic-esque abilities, should the situation call for it. His Overskill is the ability channel the magic in his blood into dragon powers. An aura inspired by that of a dragon would appear around him, increasing his physical powers and even allowing him to produce fire, but at the cost of draining his Ki to lethal-levels. Swordsmanship: Zac is a swordsman - a proud and skilled user of a Gunblade, one of the most efficient weapons at fighting dragons. He's a gunner and a skilled marksman with a handgun, the two are used in synch during battles, allowing him to fight most foes. However, even if he is skilled with the blade and gun, he's far from a master at either. His honor also hinders him a great deal in fights, as he refuses to fight an 'unfair' battle, and will hinder himself to even the odds, if he thinks they are unfair. Mechanic: While a warrior at heart, he's also sort of a tinkerer - he built his own gun and blade, putting them together according to old schematics. And he soon picked up on engines and what have you, able to tinker with boats and airships alike. Shield: Using the piece his shoulderpad, he's able to use draconic magic, and create a shield around himself, fueled by his ki to absorb damage, protecting himself and / or his allies.
Equipment:
Valor's Talon: His Gunblade. Crafted from the finest steel, put together by himself. He is able to channel his magic and ki through the blade. Though, this does not really become a feasible battle strategy, unless he uses his Overskill. Pistol: His Pistol, given to him by his father. Capable of enhancing the bullets with his ki, to a very limited degree. Shoulderpad: Looks like your average leather shoulderpad that's stitched onto his jacket. However, the pad is studded with dragon bones and a plate of dragon bones, allowing anyone who touches it to use a portion of the powerful magic the dragon once held.
