Serena merely smiled as Tanya debriefed them. Not the Captain type hmmm? She thought, giggling slightly to herself. She raised her hands defensively as she was accused of being the on to give them their names, mock indignation covering her face. "Not true! It's because we don't plan we just kinda throw things together and pray. And my droids don't blow spectacularly in my face all the time! I repaired Del without any problems!" She huffed, gesturing towards the newly repaired drone behind her. She grinned as Tanya dismissed them, giving a salute and mouthing 'Aye, aye Captain' as she turned and left with the rest of the group. She'd already sent Tanya her reply. You'll have to pry me from your side. After this job and Drono's back is fixed, which shouldn't take more than a day or so, we'll go, though I suspect I won't be the only one with you. Unless you want to do it by yourself without an annoying drone mechanic running along with you.-SM Drono, as soon as Serena returned to her quarters in the hangar, Got his own personal message as well. We would never imply that our explosives obsessed, swaggering, cocky, sneaky Drell is mentally unstable! One mission, and we'll all be ready to fix you up good as new. Are you sure you don't want me to just replace your feebl-I mean, weakened, spine with robotics?-SM. Hazan was the last set of her messages. Given the rather unbending time constraints of Drono and Tanya's requests, lethally in Drono's case, I think you'll have to wait a while before we can break into Bounty Hunting systems. Fear not! We shall and will break into the systems and erase every bit of your existence from their hardware, software, and minds! Not literally of course...unless you want me to start lobotomizing some key people? -SM ----- Serena gave a brief perusal of the shipyard with much disappointment. It was just a bunch of ships with no mechs. Useless, useless, extra useless. She sighed, returning to the main area. There was nothing for her here. Drono, Iosif, and Dex were doubtlessly going to have a ball running through the ships and checking all of them. Alone. I swear to God, if Dex and one of them comes back with that damn 'I just had sex' look. I'm going to have them both sprayed in the face with water. She knew they were going to anyways, but there as a small chance they wouldn't and she'd be pleasantly surprised. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised, just once. She wandered off to the med bay. Weapons weren't her forte, and they didn't have any mechs for her to use. Besides. She had seen Vellios and Hazan making their way over to the location and she wanted to extract a promise from Vellios. This whole mission was giving her bad vibes. Not in the least because they were overarming them. Too many guns for a simple infiltration and observation. Something was going to go terribly wrong. And their employers knew it. Regardless, it was a job and a mission. They could only go through with it. She practically squealed as she was handed a box of old drone parts that the base couldn't use. Even if it was old an ancient and damn near useless. She could make it work. Thus, Serena passed her time on the Borealis repairing what she could and scrapping what she couldn't. She tossed everything into the box when it was time to leave, boarding the shuttle with the rest of the observation crew. Serena merely smiled at Iosif's commentary and rolled her eyes at Vellios' sulking. He always got like this when he was forced to recuperate. He'd start feeling better when it was time for him to do something productive. Until then he'd merely sulk and feel useless. As they landed and Serena picked up her load, she examined the jungle. She had never been much of an outdoorsy person, and had had only a few encounters of wilderness her missions with the Alliance. "It can't be that bad, can it?" Serena was beginning to regret her decisions. Here she was, tramping through a damn jungle, going to observe some damn smugglers, when she could just call in a damn airstrike and have them all blown to damn hell. But nooooo, they had to play it by the books. I should have taken those acting classes. Would've been on the smuggling team, nice and comfortable and chatty, instead of stomping through this damned jungle. But no, I had to want to tinker with some damn robots. Said robots were floating behind her, colors clear like glass so that they were almost invisible if you didn't stare at them for too long. She glanced occasionally behind, her smiling at the sight of Vellios covering their tracks extensively. Whatever made him feel better. A sulky Vellios was an annoying Vellios. Now if only I could get in air conditioning and a cool drink of water. They arrived upon Hazan's location a few [s]short moments[/s] [s]agonizing days[/s] [s]hellish years[/s] hours later, quickly establishing a base camp, hidden from prying eyes. Or, at the very least, any eyes that happened to glance up at the cliffside. Serena sat down, crossed her legs, and began handing out all her equipment with instructions (or threats, depending on who she was handing it too) not to break them. "Right. Can we just have the others pull out, call in an airstrike, and call it a day? No? Of course not. Why would this be a simple mission through the abysmal jungle."
