Madawc noticed that Xavier seemed to be worried about his horse. Well, so was he himself. He could feel its back gradually giving more and more way to the force pushing the saddle onto it. He soon would have to give it a decent rest. "We could switch mounts." he suggested.

Then however he saw what was happening ahead. It wasn't that the demon in him cared that much about it, but the human in him did, and seeing that there could be a decent fight ahead, the demon part didn't put up a struggle against the decision to 'solve' the situation. The solution, that meant jumping off and applying brute force directy to one of the three men's legs, snapping everything in it with a single blow of Madawc's hammer.
