Nyt raised her eyebrows when Edwina offered Cheetah a rather nice escape: still make money by not killing the girls. She could see it in the woman’s eyes that she wanted it and the woman stared back at them before chuckling. “How can I refuse? If you’re truly his niece, this should be a piece of cake. But what guarantee will I have that I won’t end up dead? Especially with this one here,” she said, nodding her head over at Nyt. She rolled her eyes and a devilish smirk appeared on her face. “Life never came with a guarantee,” Nyt said, her voice haunting the Cheetah as she still felt her wound pulsing with pain and the anger of the event lingering in her mind. There was obvious tension between them but if everyone got what they wanted, Nyt could honestly see this ending one of two ways: either they do the job right and go their separate ways with the pretense that Edwina and Nyt are deceased, or the Cheetah could just be a liar and Nyt would put her name first on her ‘To Kill’ list. The alien hoped the woman was as smart as she looked, for her sake. Cheetah could only nod with a greedy grin on her face, “Sounds like a plan then. Mind untying me so I can clean my newly accrued wound?” Nyt leaned in so she could stare her straight in the eye. “Let that be my first and final warning,” she said softly, before untying her quickly and then heading back to her bed, feeling weary after the long day that never seemed to end.
